Our IT administrator informed us today that due to security concerns, Symantec Endpoint Protection should be removed from all company Macs until further notice. Maybe this is related?

Malware Bytes is free for Mac users and has been the only protection type software I've felt that I need.

Yeah... Saw about the SEP "flaw" that could be exploited, did not see any update about a Mac version of the new MP5 in anything I'd read though, so it appears to still be M.I.A. ... Could always do the port of Clam too I suppose.

running Sierra PB1 on 2012 retina MBP

Works:

coconutBattery
(Canon) Digital Photo Professional 4.3.1.1
Google Chrome 51.0.2704.106 (64-bit)
iMovie 10.1.2 (first startup was slow, some text is out of place)
LibreOffice 5.1.2
SimpleComic 1.7
TextWrangler
VLC 2.2.4 (but controls are out of place)

This thread is great. Thanks for all the updates. The only one I need and still don't see is Beamer. If anyone knows if that one is working it a old be much appreciated.

Just to be clear, the original post is fully up-to-date on compatible and incompatible apps as of the July Public Beta 1 and movement forward?

Thanks

Typinator 5.9 still works great for me. I'm always worried it'll break with each new OS release, but all seems well.

Does VirtualBox work fine in macOS Sierra? I think someone else asked a bit earlier in this discussion but got no answer that I found. I use it regularly for my work (to run virtual servers for web development as test environments), so I'd like to know if it works or is having issues.

This is my can't-live-without app list is. So, to decide if I upgrade or not, I need to know if those run. Can anyone here uses any of this?:

- Full adobe suite (Ps, Ai, Lr and Id) <- I heard there was an issue with Id with Beta 1
- SQL Developer and MySQL Administrator
- Brackets
- Slack
- Screen Flow
- Final Cut Pro X
- I heard Bartender 2 have an issue with B1, is the same with B2?
- ControlPlane
- Cisco Jabber
- VMWare Fusion 8 <- A big one
- Office 2016
- Google Chrome
- Tableau Desktop
- f5 Big-IP Edge Client (vpn)
- Sync Folders Pro
- MS Remote Desktop
- Transmit FPT client
- Battery Monitor, Dr. Cleaner and Daisy Disk utilities

Thanks for your help

Unfortunately, it breaks f5 Big-IP Edge Client. The app will open but is unable to connect. Tried to reinstall but didn't help. Might be the issue which forces me to revert to El Capitan.

Also, Sever.app does not work. Apple draws a no smoking signal over the app icon in your dock.

VMWare Fusion 8 gives an Internal Error, but the fix is to turn off 3D Acceleration for your VM in settings.

Incompatible: Mou with message "You can’t use this version of the application “Mou.app” with this version of macOS."

in the first post it says that WhatsApp is incompatible:
WhatsApp Desktop (always recommends moving to Application folder when it is already there, and will lose login

Has anyone tried latest betaversion of the WhatsApp desktop app? same issue?
Version 0.2.1061 (0.2.1061)

Compatible

App for WhatsApp

Today someone made a mess of the list. Presentation has changed, many entries simply disappeared.
Nothing should be considered as reliable information anymore since anyone can edit such an important topic.

The entries I put in the list are still there. Frankly the thread would be most useful if everyone edited the list to add their findings rather than make the thread 8 pages long.

However with a new seed now, there should be a new thread and this one retired.

I'm seeing an issue with Tweetbot 2.4 where tweets will appear blank/empty - especially if I leave Tweetbot running, but haven't accessed it for a while. Closing and restarting Tweetbot seems to solve the issue for a while - until it happens again.
