Mac user since 1989. With Tahoe beta 2, my 2019 i9 MBP became unusable. Safari, Mail, Notes, TextEdit, Zoom and others were crashing upon launch. Impossible for me to fix. Countless messages to Feedback, not one answer. In desperation, I explained the issues to Perplexity who said Reset the Font Book. Wot? How could that fix this issue? I never even knew that you ciuld reset the Font Book. Found the button, Reset, restarted the MBP, and everything is now fine. I am gobsmacked. Such a totally non-obvious simple solution.
Feedback is for letting Apple know about bugs. Unfortunately, it's not for support. They are unlikely to respond, and if they do it will only be to ask for more info, or to say it may be fixed in a later beta, even if they know there's a manual fix or workaround.
There have been posts on here about apps crashing and that resetting the user fonts fixes the issue. I believe the posts here on that topic were originally a cut/paste from a reddit thread.
I understand that many people using the betas aren't developers, but the crash logs (if one cares to look) do point to it being a font issue, although without the benefit of hindsight I probanbly wouldn't have spotted it!
