What I've noticed:

- The default Tahoe wallpaper now animates properly
- The Macintosh HD icon has been updated to match the style of the Time Machine drive / Network Drive icons.
- There's a new animation when you use expose to show the desktop - the menubar now fades into focus in front of your window (see video)

I think the new drive icons are wrong, perspective wise. Could be my eyes, or an optical illusion, but the top seems wider to me than the bottom. I feel it should be the inverse.

Doesn't bother me really as I always use a custom icon for my system drive, reflecting the installed macOS version.

Yes I know... in the system settings there was an iPhone Mirroring option in addition to the app. You had a drop down where you could select which iPhone you want to use with the iPhone Mirroring app, etc.

Was this new to Tahoe? Asking as I don't recall seeing this and a quick search of Sequoia settings doesn't throw up anything either. That said, I don't have multiple phones so maybe that's why I don't see this option.

Have you checked to see if such an option has moved directly to the settings panel of the iPhone Mirroring app itself? Seems like the most logical location for it if it were moved from system settings.

i had a bug where scrolling in safari was behaving similar to when you have a hair on your touchpad: was not fluid, was stoping all of a sudden or by itself going to the bottom , it was happening only in safari so it was nothing mechanical, Chrom was fluid as always. With b5 scrolling in safari is again correct

/not sure if it was only me, but I had it 100%
I'm still having that on B5 :'(

In the previous beta, I reported an issue with the transparency when scrolling through Safari's submenus. When moving from the menu to the submenu, the transparency changes to opaque. However, it hasn't been fixed. Anyone else?

I've had a long standing bug I opened in May 2023 (FB12202204) for when you select a Folder in the Photos App to cycle thru for your Desktop Wallpaper, it reverts back to to the OS' Default Wallpaper instead. I've hated this, and have been using a local folder instead, but now this is working again which is awesome. I'll reserve my feedback until the official release, though. Things can change quickly lol

Anyone tested Vmware Fusion (or other virtualization software) on beta 5?
Works with UTM (based on IPSW available on Mr. Macintosh and with M1max/Sequoia host).
Screen artifacts and fluidity issues. This is sufficient for exploring and getting an idea (but not for production IMO).

What about the full installer? Does anyone have a valid link? :/ Apple pls

Use the command softwareupdate —list-full-installers
Then get one with
Softwareupdate —fetch-full-installer

Only shows betas if you’re signed up for them.

Alternatively, OSX Daily also post the links to the .ipsw files and Install Assistant packages as soon as they become available.

Not sure what happened but I was able to get iPhone Mirroring to work with my iPhone 16 Pro Max and Tahoe latest beta. It took 3-4 restarts on both devices for it to eventually show the passcode selection on my iPhone and not say 'Try again.' Just wanted to clear it up that it's all working fine now.

Mail on my MacBook Air is changing the sizes of my columns all by itself. Anytime I leave the app for a bit, they reconfigure their spacing and widths.
