Clearly Apple devotes more resources to the iPhone and iOS than MacOS. They might keep all the OSes synchronized in their version numbers, but the amount of changes and updates to MacOS shows a substantial lower activity on this side.
Obviously there are many more iPhone users than Mac users. I'd like to know how many Mac users are also iPhone users.
Yes, I am quite positive that the amount of iPhone users are easily a hundred fold compared to Mac users. I will wager to say that probably about 70% of Mac users also have an iPhone.
