After the update, the small hub connected to the MBP M1 Pro on the right USB-C port stopped working (it is only used for keyboard and mouse).

Disconnecting and reconnecting did not work. Restarting did not work.

So I connected an Ethernet adapter to the right port and it worked. I put the hub on a port on the left and it worked. I put the hub back on the right port and it started working properly again.

Mac Intel? I tried to replicate the problem without success (M1 Pro).

I don't know about the column view search issue... do you have any details?
Yes, Intel. Comment since edited.
The column browsing issue has been driving my nuts since they broke it around Sonoma 14.2. I report it with every update, but from what I can see, it isn't that big a deal to most people (I wish more would report the issue). Check out the attached screenshot. There, I searched for "Miles Davis" and results were only presented in the song pane, but not the others (Artist, Album, Genre, etc.). For those of us that enjoy a large CURATED music library, this is egregious. Apple appears to be willfully ignoring those that haven't abandoned local libraries for streaming. I stream too, of course, but I'm proud of my own collection. Remember Steve Jobs' "rip, mix and burn" ad campaign? I bought into that. Silly me.

Here we see my iMac on the latest and greatest next to my MBA running Sonoma.
What it is, versus what it is supposed to be.

Thanks for the explanation, I see the problem... the search works correctly, but the Genres/Artists/Albums columns continue to show all the variants regardless of those actually available for the group/singer searched for.

Probably the column view is not used very often (I had to search for it, although it's true that I don't use Apple Music much -> never).

I'll send feedback to Apple.

Looks like others are seeing this on Intel as well, which is a good sign, it means Apple is trying to optimize for intel since its the last supported macOS version.

I suggest sending feedback every time you see issues via feedback app.

Wow what a buggy beta lol...
How can Apple even accomplish such a buggy beta...

That's why it's a beta, there's still 2 more to go before RC in mid february.

I think they're desperately trying to fix performance issues because .0 and .1/.2 are pretty horrendous.

Be quiet.
Is assumed that we cannot talk about bugs. Not even in “macOS Tahoe 26.3 Beta 3 - Bug fixes, changes, and more.” I apologize.

you think that's bad? there are ppl here who melt down if you contradict them; for example, suggest that a GUI dislike is not, in fact, a bug.

i love this place when there are intelligent discussions, or when ppl ask for and get help. this can be a great forum... if you look past the doomsayers...

on my MBAir M3, TouchID is not available after Lock/sleep. Normally there is a text below password field which indicates that TouchID can be used to unlock. It is not there after Lock/Sleep. Putting finger on Sensor does not unlock. Selecting another user and select back then brings TouchID back.

Similar issue on my M2Pro-Mini: Unlock with Watch still works but most of the time it does not kick in.

Im just talking about the replies that I see here, but Settings has a weird bug where the word "General" doesnt have a background for me in Settings.

Gross and today’s iWork updates show how bad things have become.

Keep up the criticism and posting terrible examples. Don’t let anyone gaslight you by calling you a “doomsayer”.

Anyone who wears their shoes on the wrong feet has no right to talk about about style and function. Everyone’s opinion isn’t equal. Some people have terrible taste and will defend anything.

Seeing how pace of releases has suddenly changed it is impossible to predict if RC will come out in february, march or even later.. There's no way to even tell if this is last beta before RC or not.

Noticed multiple reports of gaming performance regressions on this beta.

Looks like Apple changed something with the graphics stack that is causing a problem. Obviously, this hasn't been "generally" released yet... Hopefully it gets fixed in short order.

huh, i don't know anyone who wears their shoes on the wrong feet 😳 but i do not that everyone's opinion is essentially equal, and that some people have great taste and still might see things differently 👍
