It's truly amazing how some people (actually just a handful, always the same ones) have the ability to ignore the evidence (screenshots, videos, external articles with dozens of examples from various sources, testimonials from other users).
Evidence? 😂. Oh, you mean “evidence” like random blog posts screeding and whining about stuff…? That isn’t “evidence”. It’s opinion and nothing more. People are complaining about things like window corner radius. Nobody denies the corner radius of app windows is different, just many of us like the new corner radius. It looks nicer. 🤷🏼♂️
When you see certain things, you should reflect on them. Of course, macOS has never been perfect, but I have never seen so much evidence (not opinions) indicating that there has been no progress, but rather the opposite.
Again, it is
opinion, not “evidence”… Some people try to claim Liquid Glass is “illegible”, when it’s easy to read for many others myself included. Such kinds of claims are subjective opinion and not evidence of anything… Other things that have been tossed around here are either minor bugs that were in early developer betas that were already fixed months ago before public release, or people intentionally trying to make stuff look bad to complain.
And trying to claim there’s been “no progress”? So the major improvements to Spotlight search aren’t progress? All the other great new features in Tahoe? And macOS is finally becoming more modernized and congruent with Apple’s other platforms. There are tons of improvements in Tahoe. Lots of progress.
I asked for examples of how Tahoe has improved the workflow of those who defend it tooth and nail... I have yet to see any. The best I've read was ‘I like it’ (okay), ‘nothing has changed for me’, ‘I haven't had any problems’ (good for you, not everyone has been so fortunate).
Because you’ve ignored the examples others like myself have provided. I went into quite a bit of detail about many different new changes that I’ve found beneficial to my productivity. Of course, it also doesn’t help that whenever anyone tries to discuss the ways Tahoe has improved their workflows, they get dog-piled on by the naysayers. Even when people create their own threads just to discuss the benefits of the new design for productivity…
Some have gone so far as to say that it will improve, which is plausible and desirable (in fact, 26.3 and 26.4 are moving in the right direction). But ‘it will improve’ does not erase the problems that others have experienced (and they have no reason to lie on a specialized forum).
The “problems they’ve experienced” are predominantly bugs. And those are either usually due to something with the device, or because they never actually tried a more recent version that fixed said bugs… Bugs, unfortunately, are always a thing. They can turn up in any version. People complained about bugs, and shared the “problems they experienced” for Snow Leopard… Does that mean that Snow Leopard was bad quality, etc., because some encountered bugs on it?
It's one thing to participate in a discussion and another to be blind, mute (not really), and deaf. For those who are more familiar with other languages, I believe there are three emojis that illustrate the concept.
Yeah, so if we disagree with claims being made, that equals we’re being “blind, mute, and deaf”… 🙄🤦🏼♂️. Got it… 😂🤦🏼♂️. Well, I most certainly am not any of those things. And a friendly reminder, I would try to be me more respectful to other commenters… 🤷🏼♂️
If you like LG... good for you, but the title of the discussion is clear, so I wouldn't exactly expect a cheering crowd.
The titles never stop the naysayers from attempting to hijack any positive discussion here about the new design and Tahoe. I don’t expect a “cheering crowd”, I’ve gotten used to the naysayers pouncing in every thread at this point. I’m still not afraid to share my opinion and push back on bad arguments… 🤷🏼♂️
