The earliest iterations of iTunes and iPhoto were great. They marketed them as 'so simple to use' etc and they were. Now all they've done is move away from that with every update ever since.

The result of spaghetti code mixed with poor design decisions... The Music app is such a shame - I use it often but it just isn't very good.

A crying shame. I’m testing Swinsian, which seems better. It just doesn’t support video. But it does show a full list with album results when searching for a song title, which helps me greatly with many versions from live recordings.

Does Swinsian allow you to transfer music to your phone? Im kind of forced to use Music to get stuff on my phone so I can use it in CarPlay. I could just whack everything on USB and it be fine but the CarPlay UI is better than the cars built in UI.

Why would anyone leave these ugly ass scrollbars always visible? It's NOT the default LOL this is not Windows. People who leave these things visible actually deserve this.

Because this let's you always know where you are in the document, and where to drag the mouse cursor to grab the scrollbar without scrolling the mouse wheel to show it first. The claim they are ugly is subjective. They are quite classy and understated compared to Windows, IMO.
