I also don't understand all this hate. Been using this since 3 years, and it does clean the junk and help cleaning up weird left-overs from apps.

It only breaks your SW if you start removing mindlessly services from startup.
I removed some apps and some helpers were still running - used Clean My Mac to remove those.

Overpriced? - Yes / Good - yes.

Stay far away from this. Sure it cleans up stuff, I guess, but it made my Mac run so much worse until I deleted it. Mac’s don’t need junk like this.
It reminds me of registry cleaners people used to use for Windows. Just like no one wants a dirty registry, no one wants a dirty Mac 😂😂

I’m sure there are specific uses that are functional, but for the most part these apps cause more problems than they fix.

Don't understand all the "hate" the program is getting. It is a super well-functioning program, with a lot of functions gathered in one program instead of a lot of small programs. One thing is the cleaner function, which works fine - I run it myself once a month and remove quite a few GB. In addition, it has a malware scanner, also super nice. In addition, it makes it easy to find large files or uninstall programs without leaving a trace. I have never experienced any problems using it.

I know that many of the functions are found in individual programs that are free, for example AppCleaner for uninstalling programs - I also know that you can clean up manually, completely free. But this program does it with 1 click and I don't have to worry about whether I delete the right files. In addition, I love the function in the status bar, where I can see the battery status of my iPhone, and other connected bluetooth, do wi-fi speed tests and a lot of other useful functions. But above all, I love that it is all gathered in 1 program, and that is one of the reasons why I choose to pay for it.

All those tasks - are they necessary now that Apple has not added the functions themselves. Is it necessary to delete all traces after uninstalling a program, is it necessary to delete a lot of cache files after a month, is it necessary to use a malware scanner, is it necessary to update all programs with 1 click, etc., etc. No, but it's nice to be able to do it.
People literally just confuse it with MacKeeper. I've always thought they should rebrand to distance themselves from that app. The app uninstaller, duplicate finder, space finder stuff all have obvious utility, particularly the space/duplicate finder has an advantage over other means because visual presentation makes it easier.
