App Store says its 5GB - I have 12GB free on my primary HD (lots more on other attached HDDs). App store says not enough space - why is this? Can't seem to pick what drive it downloads to.

Try disabling AdBlock.

Thanks for the suggestion but I don't have AdBlock on! If I refresh the MR Civ page I get another code, which when I try to put into the app store box, just tells me that 'This code has already been redeemed.' I'm using Firefox if that makes a difference? Don't know how/why it would be giving me codes that have already been used...?

Thanks a lot! I've wanted to try this game for a long time, but spending 30€ on a game or an app seems too much for me, so I rather not.
That's great. Now I got it for free. Right now I am downloading it and hopefully it'll be very enjoyable!

There are limits on how many codes are given out to an by cookie and ip. So it's possible if you are on a shared IP (work/dorm), that you hit upon the limits. I'll pm you one.

One of the best games on the Mac. This is a great promotion. Definitely watch some tutorials on youtube if you have never played before.

5GB is the download size. It will be bigger on your drive. It is showing as 7.22GB on my drive, so still within limits.

Are you trying to update anything else at the same time? Working space for that to happen could be the issue.

Thanks Arn - The code you sent me worked - downloading now!

This is awesome... I was just playing this one steam and realized I am missing a few newer dlc (BNW specifically) this saved me some $ from having to purchase it! Thanks!

Edit: Just realized this was only the base version... Thought it also included the DLC. Still a great game though!

Most of our giveaways have focused on hardware products, but this week, we've partnered with Aspyr to set up a special one-of-a-kind giveaway. We've teamed up to offer our MacRumors readers a free copy of the ultra popular game Civilization V: Campaign Edition, which normally retails for $29.

We've created a dedicated page for the giveaway. Head over there to get a promotion code for Civilization V: Campaign Edition that can then be redeemed within the Mac App Store. The promotion is open to readers worldwide.

For those of you unfamiliar with Civilization V, it's a turn-based strategy game that lets players lead a civilization to world domination through time, waging wars, discovering technologies, trading with friendly nations, and interacting with some of the world's most powerful historical leaders. Civilization V: Campaign Edition includes the base game, the Babylon Civilization Pack with Nebuchadnezzar II, plus the Mongols Civilization and Scenario Pack.

We're providing each of our readers with one promo code apiece, and codes will be available through July 31 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time or until all codes have been claimed. Codes will expire on August 4, so make sure to enter your promo code in the Mac App Store before then. Visit the giveaway page.

Just wanted to say "Thank You!" for the free game to try. I've been a gamer for years and have never tried this series. So looking forward to giving it a try.
Nice job guys & gals!
