Actually, pivo6 won the Euro 2012 game so he's our 'international' champion. I admire your determination, though! 😀

And as a few folk have mentioned, the FIFA site isn't particularly well put together. Apologies for this chaps, ESPN served our purposes well but as they didn't issue a game this time around our hands were a little tied for an accessible and free game. 😱

I blame Blatter.

As for McFifa, I'm just glad we have a game. It makes every Bosnain game that much more interesting. 🙂
 
The game's rubbish this round, but I can't blame McFIFA for that - let myself become distracted by Tilpots' battery level. 😱

Edit - just had a look at the the league; there are figures now but they seem to be Phase 1 + any Phase 2 points, and the 'Overall' figure seems to have doubled Phase 1. It'll be ready by Qatar.

Not so good at the moment - half time. 🙁 Two Algeria players on standby.

Standing; not sure - one minute within one thousand, outside the next. The probable direction is downhill.

Any big guns left?

That's crazy good. I think about 3 million are playing. I only have Zusi left and he might not even start. I bet lots will have Ronaldo and Dempsey tonight.

Saw that. Only off by a couple million. 🙂

Zusi played ok. Got another assist. He was a bit sloppy at times but he definitely deserves to be on the pitch for most of the game.

The subs on the fly rule is pretty wild. Yesterday I was scrambling to replace Messi as forward and captain, but he came thru in big way. And I was worried... 😱
 
I'm assuming that once we enter the knock-out rounds that our budget increases from 100. There's no way we could put a squad together for 100 once all those Iran, Algeria and Honduras 4.0 players are gone.

Great opening team OW! You've got to be up there globally. As swiftaw pointed out, without the cheapies, fielding the same squad will be impossible. Transfer market opens in about 3hrs. Will be anxious to see how this works.
 
Falling back - 1800 odd, rounds 2 and 3 not as good as the first. Looks as if you had a very good phase 3; what was your round position?

Just had a look and it still shows a total budget of 100m, also no change in player prices or squad numbers - I think. Didn't try keeping Iran players, accepting they won't play; my connection is very slow at the moment - if it crashes, 😡. I may find God in the next day and a bit. 🙂

While the budget is still 100, it seems like player values have been changed. There are now players worth 1.

Are you sure there weren't some before?

But players that didn't make the group stage can still be chosen, so one has to decide how many big hitters vs rotation potential. Still not a fan. 😀

Maybe there was.

Yes, you could keep players who are eliminated and hope your starting 11 does the job, but since you are allowed to sub players out after they have player I think it is beneficial to have a squad of active players. Plus, you only have to keep this team for one match, so you can play matchups.
 
I went over it this morning and put together a pretty good squad with available players. It wasn't as hard as I had thought. Now the hand wringing and nervous twitching begins finding that core 11. 🙁
