I saw that! Would have been much, much cooler. jordans2232 is a friend of mine from work and fellow soccer fan. Brought him on board for the EPL season and he hates the FIFA version as much as we do. :D
 
Team all set, this is where I shine and take the lead of our League.

Not sure if ill be leading the front or the back but ill be leading something. :)

1,869th, but it seems I am behind with my planning. The small gap means nail biting rather than feet up - ending up the chump is natural for me, it's hard to fight.

Lol. Not even pretending that I understood what you just said. I'm assuming it was only mild taunting and let it pass. :)


We have some fart jokes including pulling a finger - very popular amongst kids (in the 80s..)!! - but I always hated them.

Yeah, he can catch up. With the captain choice, most of us are really still in it. Sorry for the crude table. Obviously not part of the Cake family. :eek:

Well, here's the official table ahead of the start of the Round of 16 later today. :)

Gents, don't forget to make any necessary changes to your side to replace players who have been eliminated/injured/suspended/subjected to a four month global ban.

A quick look at the table tells us that it's oscillatewildly's Cueto Cubillas Experience who have amassed the most points during the group stage, therefore the sash sporting stars take the Team of the Round Award.

OW you are slaying it!

I have two more to go tomorrow in Van Buyten and Shaqiri. I feel like some of my big guns just didn't show this round. None of my forwards scored. Been active on the subs so that's helped stem a few point losses. Cheap Algerians definitely helped!
 
Muller was given the assist in the end, but the heavy investment forwards, oh dear; the benched Djabou scored more than Neymar and Benzema.

Never know until the end of the round with this game; captain moving around and subs. Today, -15 points to put in Messi, Van Buyten, and Rojo? Worried about Di Maria - may get points for his work this time, and Shaqiri - starting a run? Messi to be struck down by flu?

Benzema, Neymar Muller and Messi not scoring in the 16 leads me to believe one of them will go nuts next rd. Which one though?

And yes, twietee had the correct answer, J Rodriguez. First name on the list.

With the Round of 16 done and dusted, time for a look at the table...

As we can see, The Cueto Cubillas Experience maintain their hold on the top spot as we head into the quarter finals. Don't forget that the first of those matches kicks off tomorrow tea time (GMT) so don't forget to make those all important line up changes!

Meanwhile, some disturbing news from the German camp - head coach Joachim Low has reported that a number of his key players have come down with the flu ahead of their tie with France! However, one German who's in rude health at the moment is our very own twietee - his Weeteetaly team have clearly been going heavy on the Vitamin C, putting in a performance that certainly isn't to be sneezed at. With an unmatched 121 points gained, he picks up the Team of the Round Award.
