Okay, so what gets your juices flowing here at MacRumors? What is it about this place that keeps bringing you back? Is it the content? Is it the people? Does anyone actually even come here for Mac related rumours anymore? Is anyone else intrigued by the many love advice threads? Does anyone else find them hilarious?

For me, it's probably the people. Watching skunk and IJ Reilly ram each other with puns is a personal favourite of mine. I have to admit, I'm a little partial to some sassy innuendo too - something this place seems to have in spades.

So then, what is it that draws you in? Why do you keep coming back? Discuss.

In the very beginning, it was just about a rumor or two and general reading because I didn't (and still don't) know anything about Macs and OS X.

But now?

What keeps me clickin' back here time and time again?

It's the people. The community. Regardless of the ups and the downs, the spats, the hissy fits, there are moments of genuine feeling. And that keeps me coming back. And I know it's not just I who feels this way, hell, members have even found love via MR. That, says something about this place.

It's dear to me. :)

First it was to ask noob question about macs, but now it's more about the community. Everyone is so nice, and plus it's a big community, I haven't come across other forums as large and tolerant. I always get good feedback. Even though there are bigger forums to talk about videogames (one of the forums I most frequent) I still find myself comin back to this forum cause it's not overrun with immature people.

Another plus is that we all know that macs rule!

I'm relatively new here. at first i just browsed the forums trying to get information on everything and anything (I'm an information hound). Now I still mostly browse but have found this place to sometimes be an excellent source of help and advice for my technological needs.

It's the only place that lets me keep coming back.

Oh, and I loves me some madjew.

Hmmm.... The free orange drink and doughnut holes.

Yeah, that certainly doesn't hurt anything.:D

But I'd have to say the people, there's always something interesting going on in the different discussions. Plus, I swear they sprinkle in some addictive mumbo jumbo throughout, I can't seem to ever tear myself away from here.

i started lurking here last summer when i first considered getting a macbook to see when the latest model was coming out and when to actually buy it. i read mostly for mac questions and stuff, but after getting my macbook in december (i signed up when i actually had the mb in my hands), i mostly hang around this forum, because of what someone said earlier, this is the most mature forum i've been on, and it's like an actual community, and flame wars don't really happen here much unlike some other places i post. i love you guys!!

The community forum and the private forum is what keeps me coming back. I enjoy the witty innuendo that I get in both. A certain mod never ceases to crack me up.

It's a damn addiction, although lately I've been better and posting less. (I started posting while procrastinating my thesis).

I actually find many of the people here stupid. Not the regulars, all the damn Newbies "When's the new blahblah coming out?" "I am in highschool I need to buy a MBP?"

Can't wait for WWDC to be over and the whole lot of them to disappear.

Yes I am a misanthrope at times.

PS - it's the setup threads. I can't resist checking every now and then.

Nah, nothing wrong with them. This is definitely the best place to get love advice.

I only used the cool smiley 'cause everyone else was.

i keep coming back because i love this place. and the advice and helping others is great. we have an awesome community here.

I have to admit, I'm a little partial to some sassy innuendo too - something this place seems to have in spades.

mum didn't teach me about this "innuendo" thing. im much too unrefined. :D

Salasm, you have been banned for the following reasons: direct violation of registration agreement prohibition on vulgar sexually-orientated posts

i love this place in the same way i love bowel movements.

I dig the love advice threads (taught me everything I know about dating,,,;) ), a lot of the threads I enjoy share different perspectives from other continents. It's nice to hear that there are degenerates all over the globe.
