How frustrating.
My Nano is not being recognised by iTunes any more. So I can't upload all my running data for January. Sod it.
The apple support forum says to reset my ipod, which is just fantastic, because then I lose the nikeplus data altogether, not to mention a few hard-fought PBs.
So don't scratch my ass from the next challenge, I'm out there, I'll be back.
Unless some genius has a better idea before I reset the little beasty.

------------
Edit: Hold the phone, I'm back. Got some help and saved some of the data at least.

so you got your nano working?

So when I bought the Nike+ kit to go with my nano I started up a running program (I'm a golfer, I've never consistently jogged before) going off of Flowbee's recommended beginner's workout. Increments of running+walking, gradually weaning off of the walking up to 30 minutes continuous running. Today was my last day before the 30 minute workout, so we'll see how that goes on Monday.

The nike+ kit and the MR challenge has been great to keep me going. I just passed a cumulative 50 miles run since Dec. 8th when I purchased it, and I expect the 100 mile mark to follow pretty quickly. It certainly wouldn't have happened without the new kit.

Thanks everyone!

glad to hear it!

these challenges on here are great for everyone :) i love it :)

Thanks ^^

I just did my first 30 minute straight through workout, and it went fine. I think the mental part was tougher than the physical. That's where having the music going really helped out. Thanks Apple!

I had to recently restore my nano since it was freezing up when playing podcasts, and as a result I lost my workout data I'd had stored up. Luckily it didn't clear it from the nikeplus.com website as well. Anyone know of a way to get that data back from nike.com into iTunes so they are consistent? I imagine it's a long shot.

Thanks ^^

Way to go!

I usually have my iPod in one ear to hear my progress, and the TV on to keep me a little more distracted. I'm not a fan of running, but I do feel that I'm at the point where I feel it's routine, and I have to do it.

Thanks ^^

your welcome :)

congrats on the workout! good job :)

i wouldn't worry to much about keeping everything on your nano. you can only keep so many runs on your nano (depending on how many songs i guess). my nano has erased the workouts on it by itself at least 3 times.

I just found this podcast, probably many of you know about it, called Podrunner. It's an LA DJ who's put together a bunch of ~1 hour mixes with different bpm rates, depending on your pace. I'm downloading a couple now to see how I like them. Anyone else heard them?
