yep. we did it with ease ;)

now get out there and go for a run! :p

I'm desperate to get out there.
Still some very minor swelling.
The pain has almost gone.

The pain has shifted over the past 10 days from the inside of the ankle, round the back to the outer side:confused:

Trying to make myself wait until next saturday.
It's difficult to not run.

well that's good that the swelling is minor and pain is almost gone.

i think it's a bad sign though, that the pain shifted from the inside to the outside though, so you are probably right in waiting til saturday to run.

i know it's difficult, and i probably couldn't wait that long, but my pain was always on the outside of my ankle, never the inside.

The 25,000 mile Team Challenge is set up - 1 Down. (Sorry, about the Nike+ multiple invite thing - never seems to work right)

What is the best way of going about doing the rest of the Individual Annual Challenges (the IAC ;) ) as it were?

I will make the following groups:
500 miles in 2008
1000 miles in 2008 (Mudbug has created one of these already)
1500 miles in 2008
and apparently 2000 miles in 2008 (although I do not think I can complete that one - so it may not finish since I am creator)

I will do it this way - I will invite folks based on which one they feel they can do...if they underestimate and want to join a new one then they can move up at a point during the year and vice versa.

So have at me - let me know the 500, 1500 and 2000 mile ones and let mudbug know the 1000 mile one either in the thread or by IM.

These are for the year - we will continue to have monthly challenges to motivate in a shorter time frame. When I started last year - I signed up for a 500 mile one and ended up over 1500 so anything is possible...believe me.

1600km (1000miles) this year.
I'd like to think 3200km (2000miles) but if I factor in changing work times and an injury or two, that would be out of reach.

1500 miles for me thanks Ziwi.
If I'm having a good year I might ask for a transfer up a grade.

i think injury free, you'd be up for the 2,000. but it's hard staying injury free all year, believe me, i know.

Well...

As some of you may have noticed, I have logged 0 miles so far this month after logging over 100 miles last month and I even called that "low" for me. Well don't think I haven't been running because I have. You see I though that the distance core for track (a.k.a. the Cross Country team) wouldn't start running together again until indoor track started on January 7th, but I was wrong. After our track meeting we decided to start meeting in a group of whoever would come and run and do it. It gave me the chance to run sometimes with the top runners at my school and I think it will make me better in the long run.

Now I'm done with midterm exams and now on break and I have a goal of running over 100 miles in 17 days. It's slightly longer than my break and takes me up to the day before indoor track starts. I even make it a challenge and if anyone wants to be a part of it let me know and I'll invite you. It starts tomorrow and its a whoever can run the most miles wins kind of challenge.

So, I'm back for a little over two weeks and then I'll drop off and only log runs I do by myself because I don't like using the Nike+iPod kit at practice because thats just stupid for a high school athlete to do. This is a great thing to do here on Mac Rumors for people to challenge each other and for people to get motivated to get in shape. I doubt I'll ever be a regular for this until I'm out of high school, but that is dependent on if I run in college or not, but I'm only a sophomore so I still have time to think about it.

Merry Christmas and happy running!

glad you are going to run early. that'll get you ready for track. just so you know, there's nothing wrong with using it on your distance runs at practice. just put it on your arm or carry it in your hand, and don't use headphones. i mean, do what you want to do, but don't let those seniors get to you!

and you can invite me to your challenge if you want. twood is my nike id

Anyone here having trouble getting on the nike+ website? When I try to go to it all I get is a white screen of nothing.

I figured out it is only the main Nike+ page that doesn't work. If you connect your iPod and go to the site through iTunes you should be fine
