I just love how most of the milestone users haven't even posted anything:
200,000: farhan= 0 posts
100,000: Anneliese= 0 posts
25,000: ???=appears to have his account terminated as I get some "no permission page"
10000: crobin= 0 posts

along with a few others, and the only one that deserves a t-shirt is mad-jew who has set a count so high that it will be nearly impossible for anybody to catch up, and he has taken some time off to let others think they can.:D

Rockin'! I'm #29010... top 15%, baby! ;)

... and the 726th top poster (top 0.4%) 500 of which, I'm sure, are about xMacs and Hackintoshes... Why buck the trend now?

InsanelyMac (the Hackintosh site) has over 220,000 registered members since 2005. Does that mean more people are interested in Hackintosh discussion than Mac News discussion? Take note, Apple. Take note.

;)

Like bytethese said, here's to another 200,000, MR.

A random sampling turns up A LOT of 0 posters. We have a lot of "lurkers" and dead accounts here. Still 200,000 is quite a big number - and something to be justifiably proud of, so good work gods and mods!

I still can't believe almost 195,000 people have signed up _after_ I have.

well for that it'd be better to gauge how many unique hits a site gets, as there are a lot of readers here who never register. i'm guessing a hackintosh site will induce more people to discuss their situations to get it resolved, rather than signing up to just read here.

Congrats on the milestone! I don't post much, but I've been a member for a long time (my member number is in the 6000 range) and read every day.

Cheers!

Congratulations Mac Rumors. The site is awesome, and major kudos for the moderators, creators, and all the important people.... lol

Good question, what is the definition of an active member? One post per:

- Day
- Week (last 7 days)
- Month (last 30 days)
- Year
- Since they've joined

Probably something along the lines of the first three. I don't presume to know what would be a good metric.

FWIW, the individual whom I referenced, joined and made their first post when I checked the stats. Assuming that they do not make another post, how long before they are no longer considered active?

Here's an interesting question. What about someone who contributes to MacRumors but does not post? Are they considered an active member?

Anyhow, I figured that if they made one post, they were active. But who knows.

I guess either way, it's nice to see the site growing. :)
