Mac Pro uses Ivy Bridge-EP, not Ivy Bridge-E. Pedantic maybe as they are pretty much the same as far as most buyers are concerned, but Ivy Bridge-E are consumer chips for the X79 chipset not Xeon E5s on the C600 series chipsets.

I actually love my 2009 black macbook. It has been rock solid running Snow Leopard for all the years I've had it but my main teaching app just upgraded and SL won't run on it.

I don't need fancy but I do need at least 200G of storage.
Do you all think there will be better deals on refurbs and older models if I wait for the new MBP's to come out?;):D
