I'm pretty sure I've visited MacRumors more times in the past 7 years than any other site... Including my own.

Somebody earlier hit the nail on the head: It's the no-nonsense reporting and professional tone of the site that keeps me coming back.

Thank-you for doing the work you do, and please continue. We all benefit from your work. Happy Anniversary.

who is....

rating this negative and why?

And grats on the anniversary! Best wishes for another 10!

Congrats Arn!

10 years is forever in computer land! I started lurking in 01 and joined in 02 after being nudged by Rower_CPU. This site is better and more informative than Apple's. It has been fun to see it grow into all things Apple, from the early days of just Macs

Keep up the good work!

Thanks for a great site - generally my first stop of each day.
Keep it up!

Chris

 my second and sometimes first, sorry Arn /. :p

BTW do people still ask for medical advice... I mean since you are no longer a Dr. advice should be free right? See, I have this sore spot on my... oh, sorry just joshin' :p

Thanks and congrats too!!! I've been readin' since you started, doesn't seem like 10 years, more like a hundred...

Many happy returns

Congratulations and thanks.
I ended up here by accident when I forgot to type in os in macosrumors. Stayed ever since. I check the site about five times a day.

Happy birthday boys, and gals, and good job to everyone for their hard work and the long hours you put here. :)

Criticism has little place on a "birthday", but it's nevertheless a good occasion to stress that there is room for improvement at MR. A lot of good posters from the mac community have been banned from here by the refusal of the moderation team to take a firmer stance against the pc crowd's insistence on populating apple related forums with taunts and generally inane posts on the mac experience. This is first and foremost, if not exclusively, an apple news and discussions place and it should be kept that way and safeguarded. Sites like apple insider should be a good guide on how moderating should be done instead: with a light touch, but a firm hand in terms of what is and isn't consistent with the identity of this place.

This site has instead been taking a very permissive approach with the pc crowd to its detriment. I know a lot of apple users/developers/aficionados who have come to despise MR for that and I am sorry to say that most of them are right. Trying to cater to everyone gives you possibly a bigger user base but on a lowest common denominator basis.

Apple users should be welcome here and not feel they should be in a constant state of apologetics to anyone. Especially since apple has grown and branched out so much in these past ten years that their great and innovative products are bound to attract the attention of people who wouldn't have otherwise taken notice. And some of these people being misinformed or generally bitter about apple's success will come to these forums and effect them adversely. Case in point the new ipad sub forum, easily the worst sub forum on MR.

Anyway enough with that, some things had to be said, and hopefully they may be duly noted.

HAPPY TEN YEARS MR, BEST WISHES FOR THE NEXT TEN AND MORE TO COME.:apple:

CONGRATS ARN! :D

On one memorable occasion, he said, Apple accidentally raised the curtain on a new Mac on its Web site a week ahead of the official announcement, leading to a free-for-all on MacRumors’ message boards and some urgent phone calls from the company.
Which mac was this??

Thanks Arn!

MacRumors as been the one site to last them all over these years, and I thank you Arn! Definitely one of my most frequent sites to visit. I've enjoyed the past 7 years or so of my participation very much, and even learning such overused words as "snappier" and "Tuesday"! :D

It's also been wonderful to see you grow, even being on CNBC!

Keep it up - this is going to be a great :apple: year with a lot to track!

My "Go to" Mac site.

Seriously. Any time someone comes to me with some Apple product they saw on the internet or their friend told them about, I tell them to check Macrumors and if it's not there, it's not happening.

Nice to see you're living the dream Arn.

And yes, no doubt about it, this is a page 1 story :D

Great work Arn! You and Ken Jeong (Senor Chang on Community) are my heroes. You both left medicine to pursue your dreams. I'm still stuck seeing patients but I'll keep reading MacRumors several times a day.

Congrats Arn! I've read this website almost everyday (at least every weekday) for the past 4 years. You're my number 2 website in my speed dial. Sometimes I wish that Apple had more products simply so i could read macrumors more. I agree with the above poster, so many times I've had people try and tell me this or that about Apple, but I know with the knowledge I've gained from this website that I can give them the facts or at least the best general consensus. I can't tell you how many times in the past three years I've had to tell people that the new iPhone will be out in the summer, not before Christmas, or that the iPhone is not going to Verizon.

My first post :) Happy Birthday MacRumors!

Since making the big jump from PC to Mac last year, I have found this site to be THE best place for Mac news and information. I check this site every day now, and felt obliged to finally sign up to the forum! Thank you for your sterling work.

10 years woohoo!!! Congradulations!

But don't you think macrumors deserves an extreme makeover?

Honestly I like the content of this website a lot this website but it's the ugliest one that I know. Do a poll you'll see I'm not the only one to think that. I like what they did with http://www.ipodtouchfans.com/ it use to look something like what we have now..

Congratulations

Fantastic site, my day always starts with a strong coffee and your bookmark.
Thanks for all the help over the years.

So what kind of machine or device am I going to be working on in ten year's time ?
