Alright. I'm guessing most people planning on going have some sort of rough plan by now ~3 weeks before the event (e.g. when they're coming and where they're staying).

It's really hard to get any sort of idea of when to have this without knowing what's okay and not for everyone, so PLEASE fill out this form (takes a couple minutes tops)! I can post the results after a good number of people fill it out.

Alright, got several replies...and there's a clear winner.

Most everyone said they would like to have a meetup with anyone who cares to join after the keynote on Monday. The keynote is scheduled to end at 11:30am, and sessions start at 2pm, so sometime between then.

The vastly most popular date was Monday, followed by Wednesday (particularly in the evening, which I believe conflicts with the #macdev dinner if any are going). Most people wanted to do lunch, and there was a smaller split between dinner and coffee. One person left a suggestion about where to have the meetup: "For a dinner meeting, we could meet at the Metreon mall, perhaps the food court. Or in the Yerba Buena Gardens adjacent to the Metreon. For a lunch meeting, we could just reserve a couple of tables in the lunch area."

The only issue I can see with a Monday lunch meeting is that some people might be at work/school...in which case the next best option is during/after the Welcome Reception that ends at 8pm.

Any thoughts?

What's Student Sunday? Is that something we need to sign up for?

student sunday got cancelled this year - it was an event with special sessions and such for students going to WWDC through the student scholarship. this time around it's integrated with the rest of the conference.

So, have there been any more replies?

Do we know how many are planning to attend that aren't going to WWDC? That would help determine whether to make it a lunch meeting or a later dinner/coffee meeting.

I'm good for Monday lunch, dinner, or coffee.

So, have there been any more replies? ...

I've only gotten a couple more, and pretty much the only date in common with most is Monday lunch. Not having asked for names or anything, I'm not sure who's attending wwdc and who's not (on a sidenote I should have included that..but there was no room left...).

I guess I should get around to changing the original post..or maybe start a new one with the date and all?

I'd say keep this thread, and change the original post to show the date/time.

After doing that, ask one of the mods if they can sticky the thread so it gets more exposure.
