That's fixed now, it was trying to connect to a server that didn't exist, so couldn't load the applet. When you reloaded the javascript pointed you at one that did work :)

I've had them occasionally in the past but this was every thread I clicked on was coming up like that which I thought was very odd. All seems OK again now.
 
Didn't have any problems in Firefox 1.5. The presentation ran nicly while I surfed other places on other tabs (most of the time). :)

Hope there'll be more details come Tuesday... ;)

But MacRumorsLive looks to be very cool. It seems to work, and if it does, it will change the way live news is delivered.

...what about an RSS feed?:rolleyes: :confused: :D That might be a good way to present summarization of everything...
 
Arn, do you have any idea of the load on MacRumorsLive tonight? As I'm sure it was only a small percentage of Tuesday's server load. This could be a biggest problem.

Don't worry, managing the load on the servers has been my preoccupation for months :) Today's test was never going to come close to simulating the load - it was mainly to test whether the updates came through ok and there were no obvious problems. There were probably about 10 hits/second on MacRumorsLive today, I'm expecting that figure will be over 1,500 on Tuesday.
 
Sorry I missed it. Darn me and my having a life (occasionally). Hope all goes well tomorrow, even though I might miss that too. :(

Ah well, I'm sure Apple will release something cool. That everyone will complain about. Even though it's great. Plus a hundred dollars.

Morning with my Mom at her school. Her 4th graders are monsters. Here's hoping I can wake up in time tomorrow. :)
 
I was not around for the big show. :mad: Darn school. Anyway how did not site hold just wondering? I would love to know some stats. :)
