Does Toast 12 add back the option to save images as ISO files? if not then its still of no use to me.
For once I need a virtualisation software, MU decided to let me down and not include Parallels...
Quite good bundle, though, which I won't get as I already own most of the apps.
If you are in academia, Scrivener+Bookends is a must.
Not really into Toast+DVD Ripper, but someone may find it useful.
Yes it does.
I checked this myself and NO, it doesn't support saving as ISO images, just like the previous version. This was all I ever used it for previously as it was a nice quick way to change a .img file to a .iso
Guess I have to stick to terminal commands.
You still have to buy a plug-in if you want to burn Blu-rays with Toast.

Well i should have clarified. Save as a disc image or Bin/cue, then change the extension.
Terminal commands just to change the extension. Wow! Are you that lazy?
TIP: If you have the Toast 11 Plugin it is the same, you can use that plugin again I think. (I bought the plugin in the bundle and registered it with Roxio, and the licence shows as "Toast 11 HD Plugin" just like the Toast 11 plugin I had before.) You may need to reinstall/activate the plugin after installing Toast 12 though
I think I've just renamed the .toast to .iso and had it work in the past.
I haven't tried this on compressed disk images, etc... just the vanilla toast file
Just to chime in on this: I've successfully created a .toast file (Mac/PC compatible!) which I renamed in Finder to .iso and then mounted to my Windows 8.1 vm in VMware Fusion. However, Fusion is able to mount .dmg files as well (which is what it uses to install OS X in a vm). The best test is to copy the .iso to that Windows vm and mount it in Windows 8.1 via its built-in iso mounter (new in Windows as of 8.0). This will guaranteed only work with real .iso files. The result? It mounted without any problems. Vim even reads the contents! The .toast format is not the same as iso. Reading with understanding, are you too lazy to do that?? Thanks for your out of date useless information.
Thats how you used to do it on Toast 10. They changed this in 11 and its the same in 12.
They should somehow make this available with iTunes credit(I have so much credit from free apple/store promos). Getting another 200$ on iphone release from radio shack. Nothing really that amazing that can't be replaced with free software in the bundle. Netshade is completely useless as they log your information.

Looks like you're the one with the outdated and/or useless information (as it is not correct).
Moral of the story: get the trial version or buy it and see for yourself. Works better than lame forum posts
Btw, I really like the .iso mount as cd/dvd that comes with Toast. Now I can finally use .iso files on my MBA with apps that will look for a cd/dvd (and don't find any if you simply mount it in OS X as it will mount it as disk image). No need to bring the usb cd/dvd drive any longer!
Anyone want to sell their copy of iStat for cheapy cheap?
That is a topic for the Marketplace. I saw some up there for sale.
Thanks! I scored a copy from a great member for $5!
Good Deal! I just bought Toast for $5 as well!
I think the macrumors community is the best on the interwebs.
