Here is where you can post your own, or found mockups of what you expect or want at MWSF '09! MW is 1/11 (I think) so we have a week or so to collect as many wacky ideas possible! Enjoy!:)

My Mockup: :D

(I am a amateur using MS paint, sorry )

**Thank you very much to the moderator/admin that corrected my poll!!!

There's your problem, you're using Microsoft Paint.
The bottom looks really ugly.
It would be more likely to have 2GB ram, Snow Leopard, and a 120GB HDD (SSD tends to be expensive, even for only 64GB).
Other than that, good job.

Yup, I know it had no thought in the speccing: it should say Snow Leopard but I made this a while back and I deleted the actual file: I only had my Photobucket copy (G-d, i love that site!). The bottom, along with many components shown are from images I found on Google, spliced to make the product. Happy New Year!!!

Woops, I accidently clicked "vote" before I was done doing my vote.
And you should have put a Mac Mini update as an option; it's way more likely than an iPhone nano.

I think an updated iMac is almost a given...along with a new Mac Mini which isn't on your list.

Most definitely.
Well at least a spec update; I don't expect a case redesign.

Ahhh! I knew I forgot something! Does anyone know how I can fix the poll?

Use the report icon next to any post; you should probably use the one next to your first post in this thread.
It's a way to contact an admin, just state your problem and ask them to fix it.

Thanks! I just sent my report, on myself . I accidentally sent the message the first time by only typing my first sentence though ... Geez, I feel like an idiot and the mods will think I am one for getting a report only saying "Hello, I was hoping you could help me." or something :(. I am personally blaming my sticky Acer Keyboard....

we really dont want to know about your sticky Acer keyboard! and that mockups budget! still a good attempt, i dont think youll be getting a job as a graphic designer any time soon :p

Well, here's what I think...

iMac update - specs bump/increase, shipped with Snow Leopard case redesign unlikely.
Mac Mini update - Specs bump/increase, shipped with Snow Leopard. Case redesign likely. This is what I'm really hoping for, at least a spec update especially for graphics, ram, and HDD.
iPhone / iPod touch 2.3 firmware - this may end up being a a release in February.
32GB iPhone / 64GB iPod touch - this may too end up being a silent release in February
Snow Leopard - Demo/price/release date/etc
Cheaper MacBook - Maybe a NetBook (unlikely) or a price cut for the WhiteBook.

In order of likely hood(IMO)

Mac Mini(case redesign, spec updates)
iMac(spec updates)
Snow Leopard (get some talking time for sure)

Then less likely(IMO)

iWork/iLife (maybe release)
iPhone nano(we've seen those hints)
Apple netbook(people have been talking about it a lot, and I'd love to see one, but I doubt it)

And maybe a 17'' Unibody MacBook Pro, some blu-ray talk

Sorry, but this "mockup" is ugly as hell O_O

For MWSF - Mac mini, demo of 10.6, something iPhone.

I thought the company that manufactures the iPhone Memory said we would see a iPhone 32 GB in Q2...

Anyways everything else you have sounds perfect :)

If not, uglier, lol:eek:

I was hoping for a Mac Pro update but the people in the know on these forums are saying that won't happen because Intel haven't started shipping the processors yet, so my plan was to use a Macbook in the meantime. However, I am starting to think (depending on the updates), I may buy a Mac Mini or 20" iMac on Tuesday(ish) then buy a Mac Pro in April (if it's released by then).

A 2nd desktop could be extremely useful for when I'm setting up my web development business...only problem with an iMac is, under the HE store rules, I can only buy one desktop per academic year (Mac Mini's don't count apparently).

I certainly agree with eXan that 'something iphone' will be happening...that's what I'm hoping anyway.

One way or another, January will be a big spending month for me :D...Macbook White already purchased...will be purchasing an iPhone of some description, an Apple desktop and a bunch of accessories :D can't wait :D

I'm expecting the 17" MacBook Pro, iMac and Mac mini updates/redesigns and iLife '09 and/or iWork '09.

Just being pretty realistic here :p

Hopefully a Snow Leopard preview. But nothing too close to release, from what's been leaked recently.

Not sure if they will update iLife/iWork this year. Hopefully they will, but you never know...Any idea what they could do to improve the current package(s)?

I don't think I heard I have heard that.
Anybody else hear about something like this?

Does anyone know how manufactures the Flash memory for the iPhone?

Work them into Mobile Me better....and offer iPhone/iPod touch vouchers downloads for Pages, Keynote and Numbers mobile. That alone would be worth the upgrade to iWork '09 for me!

I found the article. Something of the sort, I think...

The reason the largest iPhone (16GB) currently has 1/2 the memory of the largest iPod touch (32GB) is that the iPhone can only house a single NAND Flash chip while the iPod touch can accommodate two. The additional space in the iPhone is taken up by its communication hardware. In August, Toshiba announced that they would begin mass production of higher density 32GB chips in the 4th quarter of 2008. These chips could presumably be used in future iPhone and iPod touch models. Another intriguing announcement came from Intel who has developed Flash chips that could increase this maximum to 64GB by early 2009.

I would like to see iPhone versions of Pages and Numbers, even if they're quite basic in comparison to the full versions. It would just be nice to be able to view/edit/save such documents on what (for me) is turning out to be a good PDA type device.

Found this on the Toshiba website about the 32GB NAND chips.

SO true.....and to be able to open Word/Exel stuff one gets in email would be great!
