I wouldn't say its lame, just not very exciting. However I am interested in a faster iPhoto and the new iMovie stuff is cool.

How often is someone going to be making calendars? It's a bit too late now. Lack of innovation from Apple so far. I'm duly unimpressed at the moment.

Here's to the Crazy Ones
I have to say that although I am not actually watching the coverage live myself (dialup@ home NZ) from the comments on this forum its not sounding hugely breath taking just yet....

So far:

iPods are popular.
iTunes is nifty.
SNL.
iPhoto gets .mac-ish.
iMovie gets a new dress.

And I've wasted 45 minutes. OK, I did eat lunch.

And from what I understand, these seem to be imbedded in 10.4.4 and not iLife '06? Anyone?

Come on Steve, enough with iLife - my eyes are going sleepy, it's ten to 4 in the morning, just give us the hardware goodies so I can get some sleep! :D
EDIT: Hey, iDVD supports third party burners now. About bloody time!!

The whole stock market is up, including the Dow over 11,000. I'll bet it's entirely due to anticipation about Steve's keynote. ;)

With iPhoto 5 and a gig more ram iPhoto has flown for me but any increases in speed and ease of use(with the new scrolling date feature) will be well received. I am still hoping (albeit a pipe dream) that I don't need to buy iLife '06 to get it.

Awesome! making garage band a true podcasting solution. I've played around with garage band 2 and it works well for recording podcasts. I can't wait to sink my teeth into the new features.

This seems like the sort of conference where people talk about it for ages, wear the supportive hats and shirts and end up coming home with 2 or 3 small things in a bag, spending less than $100 because there was nothing exciting :(

Actually, the markets are down. Alcoa's earnings are dragging things down. Apple's one of the big bright spots.
