Yeah, I knew that was coming. But, give Apple a break, some morons will pay for it - just because it says "Apple" on it.

Does this mean no new Mini ? I'm not surprised Steve didn't want to present this keynote !

Then again, the features shown are taking Apple into new territory again - any of these features is cool enough to win people over to Apple hardware & Mac OS X.

So realistically, not bad at all, even if it is disappointing to fanboys (like us, lol) and to some moronic analysts who will downgrade Apple because they didn't deliver a spaceship bundled with an iPhone Nano for 79 USD. ..
 
The 17-inch MacBook Pro, is the .98 inches thin, 6.6 pounds, and is the world’s lightest and thinnest 17-inch notebook. There’s a 17-inch LED backlit display, 1920×1200. “This is the best display we’ve ever shipped in a notebook.” 700:1 contrast ratio, 60% greater color gamut than the previous 17-inch display.


A $50 anti-glare option will be available for the laptop.

If the 17" MacBook Pro is the only hardware being talked about this is yet another lackluster event. *sigh*
 
iThink this ( 17"Macbook Pro ) is the last product announment so no mac mini , that would be a big surprise to me.
 
That's why the mini still has firewire!!!!! It is only being updated not redesigned. It may be the apple store when it comes back.
