they are ;)

i owned a MM then sold it after the first time i used it - not really a good mouse and i grew to love the trackpad(TP) on my MBP

i then ordered the wireless TP to go with the wireless keyboard - as i depise typing on a notebook keyboard, especially the MBP

no regrets.. it takes some getting used to even from the MBP-TP to the wireless one but i really love my TP

Wait wait... You said you hate typing on a laptop keyboard... but the wireless iMac keyboards are 100% the same as the MBP keyboards?

Do what I did: start out with both and see which one gets the most use.

I ended up returning my Trackpad, even though it was really cool and slick at the beginning. I just didn't want a $70 paperweight that I only used maybe 10 minutes a week.

I could have written this same post! Very well said and my sentiments exact!

I would probably get more into the trackpad if I did not need my Magic Mouse to play COD MW2 with. I just don't see the sense in having both at this point. I am sure people do/could play COD with a trackpad but that would be a bit too awkward for me.

I play games on my MacBook Pro using the trackpad. I just don't understand why people would use a mouse on a goddam laptop! The MBP trackpad is great for anything IMO:)

I had the Magic Mouse for 6 months. Liked it, but felt a little cramped.

I then bought a MacBook Air and realised what I had been missing out on for the last few years. Multitouch gestures, especially expose, show desktop, swiping and zooming are just awesome and I don't know how I lived without them.

I recently bought a Magic Trackpad and wrote a review. You can read it here.

My advice: Trackpad all the way. Really nice device and I just love stroking expose
