Bump ... for people who hasn´t vote .. please vote (and comment also if you kind enough) :)

I've only had my Imac (and been an Apple user) for a month, but I love my Magic Mouse. It took a little bit of adjustment, but I love scrolling using my fingers and going forward or backward with just a swipe. It's hard using the pc's at work and forgetting that the mouse doesn't work the same.

At the moment the magic mouse is more useful for me. However, I expect that Lion will change all that.

Agreed on the Lion part. Had a Magic Mouse and went and picked up the Trackpad today. Much better. Although my wrist gets tired while holding my fingers in the air.

All the gestures in Lion better be worth it.

I have both the trackpad and mouse, but for 95% of the time I use the trackpad. It's just much easier for moving around the 27" screen. Plus gestures are very useful.

Also calling things "Tragic", in the poll, is a tad sad.

Trackpad all the way, feels so natural with the gestures and makes most things so much easier, especially with BetterTouchTool.

I prefer the magic mouse

Every time when we continuously used the trackpad on my Mac Pro for more than a few minutes, I felt my figures and wrist hurt. Now I only use the trackpad occasionally for a short period of time, especially when the magic mouse looses its connection. I also use a magic mouse with my MacBook Air. Therefore, I vote for the magic mouse.

Cool .. that's okay if you prefer MagicMouse more... you've voted, haven't you?

Come on people, more votes .. 200++ voters won't hurt, right :p
And also give more accurate presentation of the real data ... yeah, statistic lesson again :D

After using my first ever iMac with the Magic Trackpad for an entire day, I can unequivocally say that I can never go back to not having one. 75% of my computer use is browsing the Internet so using the multi-touch gestures makes browsing the web a dream. Using two fingers to scroll and three fingers to go back and forth makes the experience so natural.

The other 25% of my use is for gaming so I have a separate USB gaming mouse attached. I have the Magic Mouse right next to the wireless keyboard (which has no number pad) so it takes up the same amount of space as a regular keyboard. Then I have my gaming mouse where a mouse normally sits.

This is definitely the best combo. I would have gotten the Magic Mouse to make my iMac setup "complete" but I thought I would never use it. And now that I have had hands on experience, I definitely will never need one.

Okay both suck, but if I had to choose..... Arrrggghhh..... Track pad. A proper ergonomic mouse over both of them.

I've only had my new (and first) mac for the past week or so. i ordered mine through amazon so i wasn't able to substitute the trackpad for the mouse, but after reading so many good things i added it to the order.

The first day i played with both.

After that I have used the trackpad exclusively. It is so much better than the mouse in every way.

I'll still keep the mouse for photoshop and games, but i really love the trackpad.

PS i did download the better touch tool and it is what really made it. Without the better touch tool i don't know which i'd prefer.

I chose magic trackpad since I have a couple of apple pro mouses left and don't see the added value of the magic mouse.
also I find the magic mouse too flat and therefore not ergonomic.

I voted for the magic mouse. We have a trackpad, but my wife cannot get the hang of it. The downside for the magic mouse is that it eats batteries way too often.

I got sick of Magic Mouse jumping all over the place so few days ago I purchased the Trackpad. Love it! Its more natural to me because I am used to the trackpad on my MBP

Get the Trackpad and a good wireless/bluetooth mouse, like a Microsoft or Logitech one.

I wouldn't want to go without a mouse completely, using a trackpad for precise selection and movement (in Photoshop for example) is extremely frustrating, but for general browsing and scrolling I love the Apple trackpads. The four finger Expose swipe has become muscle memory now. :)

I'm not voting since I have not recently purchased a new iMac, but I am not shy about putting in my input regarding the Magic Mouse and the Magic Trackpad. I use both and I love both. I use the Magic Trackpad most of the time but there are situations in which I need more precision and accuracy so then I just reach over to the MM and do whatever it is I need to do. The two devices complement each other very nicely and now I cannot imagine a setup where I wouldn't have them both.

I opted for the TrackPad, but it wasn't because I disliked the MagicMouse. I already have an MM, and I like it, all things considered. I like the inertial scrolling sans mousewheel, and it's reasonably responsive. Biggest downside for me, generally speaking, is that I still end up mixing in left-clicks when I intend to right-click.

I got the TrackPad because, although I had issues using the one I tried in the store, I wanted something different. I'm going to give it a shot and see how much I like it. Also, I was thinking about the additional support expected to ship with Lion. I have an iPhone and an iPad, and I really appreciate the interface on those devices, so I'd like to see how well the TrackPad approximates that sort of thing.

If it doesn't work, I might end up using it with the Mini that I am probably going to make into an HTPC - I've read a lot of good reviews of the device in that context.

Last year I chose a MM over the trackpad, but it was a close call. In the end it was the realisation that I find photo/video editing easier with a mouse than a trackpad, and as good as the MT is, the MM would be more useful more of the time.

There's also some nifty software which allows you to expand the gestures you can use with the MM - I use BetterTouchTool, with which I have added a number of gestures to the mouse so that now there's little I can't do with it compared to the pad.

However, with my new iMac I will be speccing the trackpad (no point having two mice) and also the wired keyboard (I have the old wireless one already).

Actually how many dpi the sensitivy of Magic Mouse has?
Why it feel so slow? yeah I can use BetterTouchTool to improve things .. but really this mouse getting on my nerve.

OTOH, Magic TrackPad is just so agile on the screen <--- no need for tweaking or anything, it just feels right out of the box, I can move along the whole screen (even diagonal) using 2 full swipe .. not so much with MagicMouse, moving around 27¨ screen would take me 5 or 6 drags, even when sensitivity maxed out on System Preferences .. it´s just not swift enough ... dang :(

Anyway please vote for whoever hasnt :)

I choose Magic Trackpad . It will work well when using for surf web , or Editing program which have rotate , zoom fuction , like photoshop , illustrator .:)
