Great review SM. I loved the EFC for my 4 and look forward to the FC for my 5. It's out for delivery today, so I can't wait to get home.
Ditto! Mine should be in my mailbox when I get home. Still wish that they had made the Executive Field case first (if they're even planning on making one at all) but I'm really looking forward to getting this case.
I spoke with them a couple of times and could not get them to say if they were going to make it or not. From the looks of it, the field case may be thin enough to satisfy me. I have tried and do not like thick cases.
I hope you're right about the Field case being thin enough. The reason I've always preferred the Executive was because it was thinner than the Field Case, so I'm hoping that I don't notice a big difference. I'm also a little leery of the case not having a smooth back, but there's nothing I can do about that. I really hope it's comfortable to hold with the pattern on the back.

It actually looks a lot thicker than I thought it would. I'm hoping that it's just the picture and that it's actually not that thick. It looks thicker than my Switcheasy Tones.

For those who have it does the material feel any different than the earlier models? I'm mainly concerned with this case stretching and leaving the oil residue that the earlier ones did. I heard that they addressed these issues with a slightly different material. Any idea?
Like the case but it's definitely thicker than the Executive Field case for the iPhone 4 (and bulkier than my Switcheasy Tones). I'll hold on to it for sure but I would definitely prefer the Executive to this - I don't want or need the extra bulk that the Field case provides.

Thicker than a iP4 case? I don't follow, but everyone has a choice in what they like. Also not bulkier than the Tones and IMO the Magpul feels better in the hand than the Tones.

I disagree that it's thicker than the EFC I have on my 4. I was pleasantly surprised that it was as thin as it was.
