Magsafe 2 , Bleh....

Magsafe 2 is driving me mental.

I use my computer a lot while in bed or on the couch and it CONSTANTLY disconnects. Every move I make the thing seems to pop out. Very very frustrating.

Has no one released a bit of hardware to over come this? Is there not a T ----> L converter that would help reduce leverage on the connection or perhaps strengthen the magnet?

I would be willing to replace the entire cable in the adapter if necessary with a new plug with a stronger magnet (see below).

Keen to hear any suggestions.

This looks great, but my main concern is what if it doesn't disconnect? I have (or someone else) has tripped over the power cord many times before and the Magsafe disconnects like a charm, but i'm afraid that with this, it wont disconnect as easily

Several people have had this exact problem. Unfortunately, there's no good in-between option right now, so you have to choose which extreme is closer to your preferences. I miss MagSafe 1 a lot.

Shame. Not worth it for me, in that case.

I have had 2 failures on the mag 2 now. I am waiting for my replacement now and am stuck using my iPad for everything which sucks.

And I am constantly having to remove random metal shards from the thing so it will plug in properly.
