Did this fix it for you?
I went back to the Apple Store and tried 3 new wallets (two ink and one Umbar). They were all weak. One ink case was slightly stronger, but not strong enough for me to feel comfortable keeping it. I also tried a few display wallets (which did not contain cards), I noticed that ink was consistently weak. however, Umbar and green were moderately stronger. Unfortunately, I was unable to find a new wallet with equivalent magnet strength. My guess is there is a quality control issue, as some display wallets had suitable magnet strength. I however felt bad for the apple employee and did not want to continue with the hassle of exchanging, opening, and then discarding new wallets. in the end, I decided to return them all. I’ll consider a third party case or wait to see if apple makes any improvements.

I place a bit of earthquake putty on the bottom of the card case and that does the trick. No slippage with earthquake putty.

Well this thread is a bummer to read. We are ordering our 14 Pros this week and wanted to give the MagSafe wallets a try (likely with a 3rd party clear or leather case), but if the phone magnets are truly weaker this year, then what’s the point…?

While in your pocket or with daily use, do you ever feel like you’d misplace it?

I’ve been thinking of purchasing one.

Front pants pocket most of the time. Otherwise I carry in my hands. Never came off once. Love it. The phone actually feels more comfortable to hold with the wallet in your palms.

I have a 14 Pro with both Apple and third party wallets, and they’re very secure with both of the cases I have as well as the naked phone. Nothing to be concerned about imo.

MagSafe is far stronger on my 13 mini (both on official cases and on the phone itself) than on the 14 Pro I just returned :)

I wonder if Apple has made a running change on the 14 pro phones. I verified on a new 14 pro my friend just bought that his exhibits the same slippy wallet issue.

Mine is really secure too, then again it’s a gen one wallet on a 14 Pro Max leather case. I think the magnets in the gen 2 wallets are weaker

Gen 1 wallet on 14PM Midnight leather case and Spigen Ultra Hybrid. Feels just as strong as it did on my 12PM both with the case and bare.

Just saw this thread somehow...I've noticed the same thing. I had purchased an extra orange wallet, knowing that the wallet would get dirty eventually and that I'd want a new one. But the less than ideal attachment made me return the extra last week. Now I wish I would have at least tested it first, as I got the first orange wallet as soon as it was in stock at Apple and the second orange case I purchased in mid-November. Oh well. I've been using my old, regular wallet anyway.

Exactly the issue I had. The MagSafe on my 12 Pro was secure for the entire two years I owned it. The ink wallet on the 14 was loose. I found out because it came loose when I took the phone out of my pocket outside and the wallet went flying under a recycle bin on the street. Thankfully the new update to findmy helped me to realize it was missing and I went outside to look and found it.

I went to the Apple Store and tried multiple other ink cases and none were secure. I then ordered a third party case and wallet from Bullstrap, waited a month for it to be delivered (wait list) and the exact same issue.

It’s the iPhone 14 Pro phone. Still trying to determine a new wallet solution. Really frustrating.

Wallet sticks strong to Apples leather case unless I drop it then it falls off. It’s much stronger with case as opposed to no case by far 👍🏻
