Guesses

- update on LTE deployment
- LTE-A up in some major areas by year-end
- Beats Streaming Audio service launch
- Official launch of AIO pre-paid service

Anyone have insight or guesses what AT&T has up their sleeve for their major announcement coming up this week. I have to imagine it has something to do with all of the recent changes that companies like T-Mobile have been doing and even Sprint to a certain extent. Just wish I had an idea of what it was :)

I hope they come out and announce to the public that they are the biggest rip off phone company in the world. :D

Those don't seem like major announcements to me... This is being teased like tmobile un-carrier plan big.

They are going back to being named Cingular since AT&T has such negative connotations. :)

My guesses:

- Something similar to the "un-carrier" changes at T-Mobile
- LTE-Advanced deployment about to start up
- Partnership with Beats on a streaming music service

I hope they go back to offering unlimited data for the iPhone!

Either way, I have their family share plan that ncludes data tethering and I'm very pleased with that plan and with the service as well. I regularly get 25 to 50 megabits per second with them.

I'm prepared to be let down. I certainly don't think they'll announce some sort of "uncarrier" themed plan. I'm waiting until this announcement to leave Sprint more than likely for T-mobile or unless a miracle happens AT&T. This will probably only be a heads up for LTE-Advanced.

It's very likely that the minimum smartphone plan will now be a no contract unlimited call/text and 1gb of data for $110/mo. 2gb will be $140. 3gb will be $170. And 5gb will be $200. Customers will be noisy but a month later will have accepted paying more for no contract and less data. ATT shares will increase 2% as well.

Sounds funny when you read it and then realize it's probably true.

Whatever Verizon did 6 months ago, check that and you'll know what to expect from AT&T.

That's usually how it works with their quasi collusion and price fixing.

I doubt AT&T will make a move like T-Mobile's Uncarrier offerings. To me it doesn't seem like a move they would make. Same with Verizon. Though I could see Sprint trying that approach.

Hmm, isn't that the same day that the new TMobile plan goes into effect, the new one where you can upgrade every 6 months? This could be interesting.

They're probably announce they bought another mobile carrier (Leap) and are renaming themselves Cingular Wireless.

Wouldn't be surprised if they screw us over with something such as a 24 month upgrade, opposed to the current 18 months

Moto X coming to at&t exclusively?

Already been stated that the Moto X will be available on all carriers here in the US. Besides, I don't think the announcement of one device would make for a "huge" announcement.
