I really hope they add unlimited non throttled data. Ive got the old grandfathered plan but I'm sick of being throttled. The only bad thing about unlimited data is that if a lot of people get it there is going to be some serious congestion.

What they will NOT announce:
- an Uncarrier type plan, since they created the AIO subsidiary specifically for that purpose.

What they might annouce:
- An upgrade/trade in program similar to TMO Jump. They realigned their traditional upgrade policy to 24 months last month, so this could leave room to a paid early update program. Of course, those plans are a big ripoff, but they seem to appeal to some customers regardless.

What they will announce:
- deployment of LTE Advanced
- Voice over LTE

If you signed a 2 year contract how exactly are they screwing you by offering you a 24 month upgrade?

Because before you could get rid of it at 18th months and get a new contract with a new phone with them. Now you can't.

Is what they are doing legal and fair? Of course it is. Still screwing over customers though.

Might end up hurting them though. People will be more inclined to jump carriers because by the time they can get an upgrade, they won't have an ETF

Which was totally up to their discretion. I think you're confused about being screwed over, if they signed you for a 2 year contract and gave you an upgrade at 30 months I would totally understand. Why not just buy an unsubsidized phone if you're that worried about it?

Haha if they did this I would consider going back to them as well. Of course it didn't happen. They just announced a subpar upgrade program.

You sign an agreement to do x and then when the company holds you to the contract you signed - they are screwing you? I think there is something wrong with your logic. They are a company with costs, etc. They need to cover what the phone is costing them plus all the costs of the network etc. So in order to cover those costs and make a profit which is why they are in business they need to hold people to the agreement that they signed.

How are you being screwed by living up to the agreement you signed. You said you'd have that phone for 24 months and they say they provide you service for that 24 months.

AT&T further cemented in my mind that I won't be going back to them. I lied their service but not for their price. I'll stick with T-Mobile :)

Would have been nice to hear ATT is upgrading to LTE-A by the end of the year.
But not to be.
