I can create a tenfourfox variant.
Do you want one?
And does it have to be like intel tenfourfox? Because I lack intel stuff but may be able to fix it.
Also we got hail today. Yummy. Pray for everyones cars. (or more accurately, their wallets.)
Oops, "Intel Macintoshes and previous versions of TenFourFox are not supported."

Will hunt for intel InTheBox or try to see if I can use a macbook (It is intel but it's super new.)

Let’s see what would happen if you just created a TenFourFox if/then. That is to say, if no InterWeb is found in applications, else try TenFourFox.

I hate nesting if/then but hey it’s not going to be the most polished code for what it is anyway.

I’ll try to run it on my mini. If it succeeds, I’ll tell it my Mac Pro is a PPC and see if I can still lead it to the exec’s and ini’s it needs. If I have quick and easy success, maybe we can tweak it to sort of run universally. Since it’s not compiled and is just a script, it sort of would be architecture agnostic, right? I mean…it is currently. At that point, all somebody would have to do is have a working version of either app running.

Don’t worry about TenFourFoxBox. It runs under Rosetta on my Mac Pro just fine right now.

Oh by the way, InTheBox works on intel, just not my 10.13 macbook. so go to https://radar.weather.gov/, save that, use InTheBox to box it, rip the icon from the launcher if you want and then kerboom. View app package and go to resources and it's somewhere. just keep the new box named the same and post the zip back up so others can see. Just make a new box for an intel, foxbox is busted on intel and i don't think rosetta can entirely fix it.

If you navigate to the Standard low bandwidth view like on my version you'll slash the CPU use.
Mines exactly an embedded site identical to yours. Same site. Except I never liked the standard view as much because it isn't nearly as fun to see physical clouds. So try standard.

I set the reload for 5 minutes, so if you're running it it should lag less (or at least less often) than dronecatchers script that was set to 1 minute. I did this because I don't think the radar updates that fast anyways and it felt like a perfect goldilocks zone between accuracy at any second and lag spike reduction.

🤣 It's running on my Mac Pro under Leopard.

I simply removed the architecture check, removed any "if" operation related to architecture, and substituted the execution of "interwebppc" with "firefox" which is inside TenFourFox.

I call it... LiveRadar(butnotforPPC). I don't think anybody is going to want this on intel because 100% of Intel Macs runs Snow Leopard....

I refuse to upgrade so at least I'm getting use of it. Got to watch the storm pass just a few minutes ago and saw it live on the screen.

Post the files and I'll bundle them with my PowerPC one and we can have one download with both.
I will add a text file crediting you, of course.

No credit needed. I just hacked the file you uploaded.

So besides having your two apps, the only other prerequisite is to have TenFourFox in your Applications folder. Doesn't use any PPC code etc so even if you don't have Rosetta it should work.

Here's your .exec but with my mod.

So what spec requirements should I have in the readme?
For both versions.
I dont suspect any iMac that can get 10.4 can't do it but i dunno.

I hate to say I don’t know enough to tell you that. It works based off TenFourFox so I have to imagine that any Intel machine with TenFourFox will work it.

More confusingly, I would even guess that if a PPC Mac was running TenFourFoxPPC and changed the name of the application to TenFourFox, and if said application has the “Firefox.exec” file in it, it could even run on PPC.

I don’t have 10.4 on an Intel machine.

Oh no, I mean 10.4 or greater! Sorry. 10.4 is the minimum for tenfourfox.
I put it in the Readme as 10.4 or greater.

Also, How does the new EXEC work? Is it a launcher or the launched?

I replace the .exec that’s in the App, not the launcher, with the foxbox.exec that I edited and it seems to work. Have you tried it?
