This is a Mac community discussion forum, not a gender discussion forum. Gender is irrelevant here.

who would really care? If someone wants to call me a whiny girl, then I guess I am whining enough for people to think I would be a 14 year old girl

If we're going with gender, why not just post everyone ethnicity and religion, that way we could segregate the hell out of this place.

I'll keep my online anonymity, thanks.

Dude, or dudette:rolleyes:, if you pay attention it's very easy to tell the gender of most members. I have 97 people on my buddy list, one of which I've met in person, and I think I can safely say I know the gender of all of them.

But yeah, asking gender is really borderline discrimination, cause people do tend to treat women/girls differently.

Edit: Cool. Don't worry, be happy.:p

I don't care about gender in these forums.

I want to know who are the raging-hormone, pre-pubescent types so I can simply ignore their posts. Although, if I go back to their previous posts, I can usually tell from the "my parents won't let me buy a..." or "I will be going to college in six years, should I buy a MacBook or a MacBook Pro?" useless posts.

I can also tell the high schoolers by their sarcasm. I just want to shake them and say, just wait until you grow up and see how immature you look to the rest of us.

God, I sound so old.

More people against my idea than support my idea, so I lose on this request.
Not obvious?
I think you need to lighten up. There's no win or lose, you suggest something which you think will help the forum but many disagreed, that's all.
