Tell that to the people being randomly beaten on the subway or shoved off the platform. It’s been all over the news.
Just like “poop in the street” is “everywhere” and you have to dodge it, all over San Francisco.
I’m there once a month at minimum. Only once was there poop in the street and it was someone who didn’t pick up after their dog.
Where was Apple security at? He didn't even bother asking for an escort to his car.
Sounds like an inside job. Must be carrying a lot of Apple store bags.
Update: How are you able to purchase 300 iPhones instantly? Apple only allows you to buy from 1-10 iPhones at a time.

The streets of NYC aren't "crime-ridden."
This whole story just seems fake.
Why would someone be walking with 300 iPhones worth $228,000 so early in morning by himself? Thats crazy.
This reeks of insurance fraud or some other kind of fishy situation...or a social media stunt.
Occam's razor applies here, folks - a 'normal' buyer would not walk out of an Apple Store with this much merchandise, alone, in the middle of the night.
Easy for the cops to prove. Just go into the Apple Store and see if he actually purchased all those phones.
Easily proved or disproved. Cops go into Apple store to see if his purchase story checked out. They will know exactly what time and how many phones he bought.

Buying that many phones could probably be done online or at the store if they know him as a business account. A company wouldn't be buying phones just 10 at a time if they needed more, so I don't see this guy getting 300 a big deal. Apple has a record of these phones so what are the odds of them getting activated. Even if the store had a security guard why would Apple have him get involved in a fight outside the store.

This is what I'm thinking. Had to place this order in advance. So that means other than fraud, someone could have alerted the criminals to the sale.
