Why would apple let an individual buy 300 at one ****? No red flags going off? In air can you explain why u need 300 iPhones? Um no? Lol. Deserved it probably
One per day until the next iPhone drops. Who would want to use yesterday’s used iPhone?

Could be to do with the fact he may have got $15,000 in Apple Store gift cards on 300 iPhone 13’s to considerably increase his profit margins on the next purchases he makes for the business?! That would make sense if he can sell them for profit abroad anyway!

Although not too bright doing it in the middle of the night!

Really not sure how he was able to purchase 300 iPhones just fine. Apple does not even have 300+ iPhones available in stock in any of the 4 stores in Las Vegas.

Do you guys see that red label message? You can only purchase 1-10.

Not the brightest bulb to be walking the streets of crime-ridden NYC after being seen purchasing hundreds of iPhones at 1am. Bet he will never do that again. Maybe from now on just have them shipped to his business like a normal person.
Crime-ridden NYC? Lol crime is at all time lows in NYC and has been very low for a couple decades now. Is your only experience with NYC movies set in 80's NYC or something?

Since when does Apple allow some rando off the streets to buy 300 iPhones? Apple must be desperate to sell them, haha.

They are a business, anyone can walk in and buy anything they want as long as they provide proper payment.

If he had a business credit card that has a limit that can cover that, he can file and get some or all of that money back (love that purchase security insurance). If he used a cheque or a debit card, hope can get something.

The "True Crime" fanatics are at it again I see. Calling this an insurance scam because there's always more to the story.

As if an insurance company would just pay off on this while he enjoys the phones that his "friend the robber stole". They surely wouldn't ask Apple for a list of the serial numbers and have them traced.
These people have internet investigator degrees from Netflix, bro. They're qualified.

1) Why not? City that never sleeps and it isn't like the store itself was robbed. I am sure they have security.

2) Why not? There's nothing illegal about it.

3) Because he wanted to and is legally allowed to

4) They probably stake out the store looking for someone with multiple bags
Welp, then the guy deserved to get robbed. Play stupid games etc.

A previous neighbor of mine is in prison for fraud after running a racket shipping millions of dollars of dollars of iPhones from Portland OR to Saudi Arabia by freight, claiming them as stolen en route for an insurance payout, and then selling the devices on the black market.

He also falsified financial documents to get big bank loans, and pay no taxes. He got knocked out by the book.

So yeah, this sounds like insurance fraud to me. I guarantee you this will be investigated very closely.

He'll be easily caught if that's what it is. I like to think nobody is that stupid to think this would work but there are a lot of dumb people out there.

An unnamed 27-year-old man who purchased 300 iPhones from Apple Fifth Avenue on Monday morning was robbed shortly after leaving the store, according to 1010Wins Radio in New York.

He was carrying 300 iPhone 13s in three bags and walking to his car at 1:45 a.m. when another car pulled up next to him. Two men jumped out and demanded that he hand over the bags. Not wanting to hand over 300 iPhones, the victim put up a fight and was ultimately punched in the face before thieves made off with one of the bags.

The bag contained 125 iPhones that were worth $95,000. Police said the man in question often made large iPhone purchases from the Fifth Avenue Store in order to resell them through his small business. It is not clear why he was making the purchase at 1:00 in the morning, nor whether he was specifically targeted based on past purchasing habits.

Apple's Fifth Avenue location is open 24 hours a day, allowing for the early morning purchases. Apple also had a Black Friday sale going on at the time, which the thieves may have been aware of.

The NYPD is investigating the robbery, and the victim was not seriously injured. A description of the suspects and their vehicles has not yet been released.

Some sort of money laundering scheme?

So did he buy 10 iPhones 30 separate times and set them all up for the same pickup day/time?

Weird.
