I don't think its that anyone NEEDS more than 800gb of hd space, they just WANT it lol. Besides, if you are doing a lot with video, gigabytes just disappear.

So true. I used to think that the 60 gig drive in my laptop was all that I would ever need, but I managed to fill it up with all kinds of junk, most of which I do not even know about. I believe that Windows just grows its own junk that fills the drive.

I sure cannot wait for my new dual 2.0 GHz system to get here. This will be my very first Mac.

Becoming Outdated

I am considering purchasing a PM, but is it just me who has the feeling that in one year or less the PM will be redesigned and will be 2/3 to 1/2 the size. I only have money for the dual 2.0 but wait, that came out in 2003. This is why I can't decide. And I don't want an Imac g5 for fear of it heating into flames from extensive photo and video editing.

Beautiful, but nearly twice the size of an MDD G4 and half the expansion possibilities.

I have a Combo drive and a Superdrive, three hard drives, a vid card and three full PCI slots.

Seems all the space is taken up with fans.

I'm getting one, and I think they are a work of art, but yes, no expansion room. Pity.

Which is exactly why the PowerBook G5 is a pipe dream...
