Don't worry paranoid, we'll get mudbug to change your member name as soon as he can get around to it.

Be warned after the last round of name changes it might not happen, but if you really want us to call you paranoid. We'll try and remember.

I was severely assaulted when I was 17 and my nose was badly broken -- I've always wanted to have it fixed back to the way it was and one day, I will.

Some would argue that this is for vanity reasons. The functioning of my nose wasn't impaired but still, even though nobody else seems to notice it, I see it every day when I look in the mirror.

Sorry to hear that BV.

As far as I'm concerned, I honestly don't see anything wrong with wanting to get your nose fixed up so that it looks like the one that G-d originally gave you.

Besides, just seeing it as it as can be an unpleasant reminder of that painful incident, so hopefully one day your wish will be granted :)

Exactomundo. The same thing happened to my friend, and two years on you can still see a 'swelling' on one side which goes into his face, he blames in on the hospital for not fixing it up properly.

I know it bothers him a lot, it would me. I suppose it's like all things (abortion etc etc), there isn't really a black and white, just a lot of grey. I think it's a perfectly valid reason to want cosmetic surgery (perhaps it could be called delayed reconstructive surgery?!).

Some very nice people from Nigeria try to tell me the SAME THING!

;) :p

I don't know how you can argue with anyone who wants to put $15 million in your bank account AND provide you with mojo enhancement. :D

BTW, I agree with what vniow said...people seek out surgery and changes to their body for lots of different reasons...it isn't a good thing to pre-judge. If you're happy with your body, maybe you can't understand the perspective of every person who isn't. I'm not saying every choice to undergo elective surgery is a healthy one, but I think there are a lot of people who find that they weren't born what they need to be, and who try to become closer to what they think they ought to be, who are really courageous people. In the end, in terms of enlightenment, that should be all our goals...becoming the things we aren't but need to be.

Blake R. Steidler, 24, allegedly made an explosive device that included a model-rocket engine igniter inside a jewelry box, the federal indictment said.

Authorities called police in Ohio, who recovered the box from the mail and destroyed it. Special Agent John Hageman, a spokesman for the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms office in Philadelphia, said the device "should have functioned and produced an explosion. ..."

Am I the only one who sees the double-entendre humour in this? :D
Nothing's working (so to speak) for the poor guy.
