Even if the list where the same, I don't think it justifies WhatsApp being used, if one cares about privacy. Granted, we can't and shouldn't live in a bubble. At the same time, we should do our best to try and mitigate our exposure and not let companies violate their own terms as Facebook has done time and time again, for the sake of collecting data about us and getting rich off it etc.The question is not what is collected by Facebook. The question is what can Facebook collect from WatsApp that it is not already collecting through other means.
A lot of people in this thread are making excuses. And said excuses amount to nothing more than 'mom, the other kids are doing it.' In my opinion, that isn't a valid reason nor is it sensible reason when our personal data is at risk.
