I don't have this issue but I'm curious about something for those who do:

Did you get your wallet with your iPhone 13, or before? I had my wallet (the newest version with Find My) attached to my 12 first, and now on my 13 and I've had zero issues with it. I'm wondering if the people with issues are starting their wallet use on their 13s.

Apple had more important things to worry about like “emojis” 😁
Emojis are actually really important to worry about. Apple doesn't make them, the Unicode Consortium does, Apple simply adopts the unicode standard and not doing so can lead to a LOT more bugs than you'd realize.

Any ideas of ways to get this feature to work without the official MagSafe wallet and “trick” the iPhone to thinking the MagSafe connection or disconnection is a device to track?

Oh come on Apple. It's a new daily security or device bug.

And what's with the silence? We normally have a X.0.1 update by now to address some of the lower hanging fruit.

This year in particular is rough as the people who have paid for the latest iPhone seem to be getting the most bugs.

The next version of iOS is supposedly going to fix so much.. just hope it doesn’t cause more bugs as well.
Apple: we’ve eliminated 100 bugs in this next update. Unfortunately it also creates 100 bugs

I have no issues with my wallet and iPhone 13 pro max - not sure if this has already been mentioned - but when I visited the apple store - they told me that there is a known issue with these wallets and the clear MagSafe cases - maybe that is the issue for some people?

Pretty funny stuff, everyday another bug or snafu. Maybe spend some more time on the hardware and less time on the rainbow watchbands.

This is what happens when you stray from your core competencies and pretend that you are the moral police.
I really hope all these bugs and security issues get mainstream coverage. If Apple cannot even do their supposedly core competencies well, what should we expect when they do something that is completely different?

Hey, Apple employees said, “We have succeeded not despite working from home, but in large part because of being able to work outside the office.” What’s the problem? The iOS 15 update is a success. Now let’s demand diverse hiring options, accommodations of home needs, and insights on environmental impact of returning to the campus versus snoring at home, all while everyone else is struggling to find stable jobs. Do better, Apple!
Refer to iOS13, iOS8, etc. Buggiest iOS releases have happened even without the pandemic nor WFH. Considering how many software development have been outsourced, remote working on software is nothing new at all.

This happened imo probably because the team was tasked abruptly to make the mass scanning system, without changing the timeline release of iOS15. Obviously things will be behind, and the quality suffers.

Just got my new MagSafe leather case and MagSafe wallet today for my 13 Pro Max and I have this bug also. But not willing to reinstall my is just for a wallet. Hopefully it is something that can be fixed when they also fix the unlock with Apple Watch issue.

The lack of communication from apple about all the bugs is so frustrating. They acknowledged the watch issue but nothing about photos or wallet? Are they fixing it? Do they know? Say something!

Tim says calm down. So many are delighted with their phones. Can’t make ‘em fast enough. Customer sat is 100% yet again. It’s unheard of. Instead of worrying about bugs, buy an app or two.

Anyone having issues with Find My "Live" location not working on their iPhone 13?
My locations will update live if I set my iPad as the location source, but as soon as my iPhone 13 is selected, Live fails to update and switches back to the old "Now" and updated x minutes ago behaviour.

Resetting network settings didn't work for me. Might have to give the full reset a go, but I really can't be bothered.

For now, users who want to get their MagSafe Wallets working right away should try the Reset Network Settings option and if that doesn't work, the DFU method to reinstall iOS 15.
Won’t this wipe saved WiFi passwords? Restoring from encrypted backup (provided you had one) would recover them, but possibly reintroduce the bug.

Find my isn’t “built in” to the wallet. It’s the phone realising the magnet has been disconnected from the phone. If someone takes your wallet from your phone and walks off with it you are not going to be able to use find my to find your wallet. What a joke. May as well use find my to find my mag safe charger too!
Come on apple. Until you actually add the AirTag technology to AirPods or other devices find my is not “built in”.

I just bought a Apple wallet, to what the hype was about. I tried it in the Apple Store (Australia) and Find My set up as advertised. The new iPhone 13 Pro Max was set up from a backup from a iPhone 11 ProMax. Find My is working as expected.

Just thought I would mention it to add the the data for people trying to work out what is stopping it working as expected.

This was a rushed release. I have an iPhone 13 and although I really like. It just seems slower connecting to web pages and apps on 5Guc than my old 11 on LTE. Scrolling doesn’t feel as smooth. Dunno. 🤷‍♂️ just in all seems like it needed more time and I hope they work this stuff out in future iOS releases.
