No. This is not just a minor or hard to come-by bug. BT is a key function of any smart phone in 2016 and one that should have have been well tested in a large group of common cars and accessories. Also Apple is no small company that can't afford to throughly test its products, and especially after the iPhone 4 you would think it would go over operability of major features with a fine tooth comb.
Yes that's right, they deliberately put the bug there to annoy and deter customers. Rant rant grumble grumble.

You complainers are impossible to please, sheesh.
[doublepost=1460407109][/doublepost]Naughty old Apple, fancy them not being superhuman and flawless. Tsssk.

Idiots.

You're in a goldfish bowl where other goldfish are gathering, hence you'll only meet goldfish.

"Many users" IS NOT "All users". The amount of times you guys have spent bickering online about Apple "news" over the years, you'd think by now you'd have learnt a little discernment and wisdom. Doh.

I think Apple software quality has gone downhill due to mediocre testing. Whomever it is running QA department should be fired. All those bugs (like this, the link from mail) are just too common, no excuse for not catching them early.

No no... Apple cannot do wrong. iPhone must be the best phone and iOS has no bug. If you experience problems, it is your fault or your 3rd party accessories' fault. There is no possibility that Apple gives you faulty software, Apple is th God's creature.

APPLE CAN DO NO WRONG!!!!

Go back to school and learn to read or if english is your first language get a refund. I said nothing even approaching above, and I don't think it's too much to ask of a company this size, experience, and wealth of Apple to get something like B/T right. It's not a grumble, it's an embarrassment for Apple as it would be for Microsoft, Google, or any other similar sized tech company.

That'd be "English" with a capital "E". Additionally, your punctuation is far, far from correct (well, mostly absent), if we're to split hairs. ;)

Sorry, you said something about me learning to speak English correctly?

Congrats. You caught a typo. If only you could read and understand English as well as you do grammar rules.

Are your Bluetooth devices using the 4.x protocol? Mine are all 2.x and I've had the issue on two SE's.
Wonder if it's isolated to an older version of Bluetooth?
My car is using Bluetooth 3.X protocol and no problems on SE or 6s with Bluetooth sound or connections.

Bluetooth has been very flaky for me, which is why I try not to use it. Just in general
sometimes it will be totally fine, and other times it refuses to sync and forgets passwords and is a total hassle.
I also hate that many bluetooth devices have limited memory and won't remember more than 1 synced device

Not surprised. Bluetooth can be flaky from my experience.

I thought that as well until I rented a Lincoln MKZ over spring break. The Bluetooth in that car was so great compared to my original stereo I decided to replace my old deck. Now it's damn near perfect; no issues.
This is why I despise all the integration in these newer cars.

In my experience Bluetooth causes massive battery drains so I don't ever use it.

What utter nonsense!

The "massive power drain" is in the milliwatt range. A couple seconds of lit screen uses more juice than transmitting via BT all day!

PS> Be safe and don't fiddle with your cell phone while driving!!

And what better way to increase safety by leaving the phone in the glove box and answering phone calls using the steering wheel controls and the huge display in the middle of the dash. Have to connect the phone via BT though.

Not sure if this is it but adjust the volume on your phone during the call as well as the radio volume. If BT is turned down the radio volume will not help much. I am one click below full blast and radio on about half way.
Tried it. Phone/BT volume is maxed during the call. Just very quiet unless car stereo is amped way up, too.

As the article said, this is not the first time happened.

Just like WiFi problem with every iOS/OS X releases, why can't Apple fix the problem for good? I never had WiFi or bluetooth problem with my Android devices. If say, OnePlus can get it right, why Apple cannot.

Defending Apple does not help the problem, it is just make Apple fans looks like fool

Thirty years ago I read that Bluetooth was going to replace the serial cable. For thirty years I've been waiting for Bluetooth to be as reliable as a serial cable.

If they can't get it to work right after thirty years, maybe it's time to scrap the whole idea and try something else.

Hm, so we should just ignore these inherent problems that should have been fixed a long time ago. Gotcha ;)
My sarcasm was lost on you? BT issues are well documented and widespread across all OEM devices and platforms, is my point. It's not just a problem specific to the SE. Should it be addressed, yes. Should BT's shortcomings be addressed in general, absolutely. It's way overdue.

I agree that Apple should have gotten this right. It makes me think that their test phones did and either something in the recent OS update which wasn't on the test phones is causing this issue (software) or something in the real production run (hardware) is causing it. If it is the second, this might end up being a big problem. Though my guess is software. Maybe something associated with the carrier's software since this is impacting call sound and not music sound.

It is perplexing though considering how much hardware and software the SE shares with other phones that have been sold in huge volume and which do not have this issue. The SE shouldn't be breaking new ground in the bug department.

Let's propose to Apple that they sack all their staff at software testing/QA, and hire you instead, so you can fix all the bugs by sitting various models on the test bench and moaning at the screens.
Where did that come from? Do you have esteem or rage issues where you feel you need to attack people for their opinions? I'm not a QA person, but I know a good product when I see it and their recent software updates have been garbage; rushed and untested.

Apple always promotes the 'software and hardware that work together', and obviously their software is way more buggy than it used to.

If they can't handle multiple models, they shouldn't release them. Next -->

Just Apple. Everybody else got it right. My Lumia 640 works just fine for phone calls and music streaming and voice commands connected to my Pioneer car stereo; for audio, controls and info. Maybe it's time to scrap your Apple devices.
