OS X Marathon 20th Anniversary

Marathon was released 20 years ago. Happy Birthday Marathon.

I may not be the most hardcore Marathon player but I think 20 anniversary if fitting time to talk about Marathon and somebody has to make those threads :-D

I played it a lot of multiplayer when I was a kid. We had 3 old Performas connected with coax cable (BNC connectors, remember those? They had TERMINATORs :-D). It was legendary. Me and my best friend had a lot fun with various challages like rocket launcher shootout between two galleries in Waldo World Arena. We also used to team up against these guys http://marathongame....i/Cyborg_(enemy) in Beyond Thunderdome (Durandal) until one of us blasted cyborg AND his "teammate".

My first and best multiplayer arena shooter. Was amazed this coukd be accomplished with networked computers in 1994. I upgraded to a PowerPC to play it. 🙂 It put Doom to shame. Played it for 8 years. 🙂

Total classic! As I was Mac & PC even back then I had this on the Mac and Doom, etc on the PC ... and was a happy shooter fan! 🙂
