Originally I had this. Kind of liked it...

I tried to make a cool dock with the black line/text icons, but it didn't work out the way I wanted (stacks and iCal). Maybe when I have more time I can find the tweaks I need/ask you amazing people for help.

So for now I am using this, lost my Geek Tool settings. When I have time I will tweak it again.

any info on that dock? I understand that you just used a black dock but the stuff above it..

I've been remote-ing in to my MacBook a lot from work (I leave it at home), so I changed the background to a plain gray color. Pretty simple for now.

The thing above he just used drag-thing, its a program.

actually I dont think he has his dock visible, I think the whole setup is dragthing.

Just so you're aware, that's likely slowing down your computer significantly. Your computer will run much better if you move those items off your desktop.

Why are you programming a sex-scene in Alice? (for the reference, there's a file named "sex scena.a2w" on the desktop). Also, you do know such things as "tabs" exist... right?

I'm no Mac expert...Very silly question but...how do you install a new theme on a Mac? And where can you find cool themes? Is there an App for this? Yours all look so cool compared to my basis theme. It's the default it comes with with Leopard. Apart from the position of the dock and the level of magnification I don't actually know how to personalise my Mac.

I notice that some of you have very cool icons, bars, docks, effects etc.

most people fiddle with their desktops with the following programs,

Candybar for icons
Magnifique for skins
Geektools for custom things

Magnifique is excellent, however development has been stopped so you can no longer download it from their website. There will be places out there though where you can find it.

It also means their online library of themes is no long accessable, so if you want to add a new theme, you need to download it first and open it with Magnifique. Check out the macthemes forums for this.

Also....DO NOT USE MAGNIFIQUE ON SNOW LEOPARD

It causes serious problems.

I'm thinking about adding a Magnifique section to the guide, but seeing as it's no longer under development I'm not sure if I should.
There are also other ways to theme Snow Leopard that are a little more fiddly, which I might put up, but I don't have SL so I'm not sure how I'll do it. We'll see.

What would people like to see?

I know what they are but not how to use them on the desktop.

And i knew sumeone would see that...... Its a joke for my friends. Because i made one a while back and it was funny. Don't worry, i don't get some kind of pleasure out of alice hahah

Would someone do me a huge favor and help me find the iChat MenuExtra Icon(s)? I don't think it's in CoreServices/Menu Extras because I changed/deleted it and nothing changed. Any help is appreciated.
