You make it sound like a crime. It's not as if everyone who doesn't provide a link is thinking, "Haha, I can post this awesome picture and nobody else gets to have it!" Sometimes they don't have a link, or they just don't want to post links or aren't allowed to do so.

Well no, but would it hurt to just state that they don't have a link, or explain that they can't give one? It would save a plethora of posts asking for links afterwards, that's the only reason I mention it.
