Wrong. This forum itself is built on a 100% free programming language. In fact pretty much anything on the internet and modern software uses open source packages (free). If it weren't for the "cheap" we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Go Mark!

Tim you stuck! Take your 10k Apple watch with Siri and beat it!

If it wasn't for Steve Jobs, Tim would have NOTHING. That's the truth of it all. Apple has lost most world markets, and only holds north america and japan. Every other country, Android dominates.

Hopefully Tim leaves, and Craig can clean up his mess. Apple needs new leadership ASAP.

Hope all you want, but it’s literally nothing more than “thoughts and prayers”. Tim Cook will be around for a long time because he’s doing a fantastic job.

Zuckerberg is a shmuck. How about a social network that charged a small subscription. Let's see... a billion members, $2 a month. No ads unless you want them. Meanwhile, we have a law that says, no anonymous ads, including if you say "Vote for Bill," then you have to disclose if you work for the campaign, are a member of the family, or have given money to that campaign. We don't want to be ruled by an algorithm.

The first is an ethical business decision. The second is what's making a dystopia out of the Internet.
It wouldn't even have more than several million users at best. Mostly because there's a paywall and free quality alternatives everywhere.

Zuck: negligently hands data on over 50 million American voters over to Russian military intelligence.
Cook: secures Apple users' data while pouring hundreds of millions into R&D to further harden the defenses of Apple devices and services.

Sorry Zuck', I remain loyal to Apple and have purged Facebook from all of my devices. You got lucky with Facebook and your vision of the future is like an Orwellian dystopia.

What is this Facebook of which you speak?
I don't know, maybe it's one of the wealthiest companies on earth. Last year it had a 500+ billion value.
[doublepost=1522704736][/doublepost]
Apple is honest though. They charge what they charge. You can choose to purchase or choose not to. Facebook tracks you even if you aren't on their site. They sell you to their actual customers.

And you can choose to be a member of face-book or choose not to.

No you can’t. Not when on android 5 and up the messenger app captured call logs and texts (outside of Facebook)of people corresponding with someone who uses Facebook app, which is virtually anyone with a phone, even those that never accept facebook’s terms or became an active user on Facebook.

Very problematic ! No way to opt out, even if you opt out!

Jobs had his problems but at least he wasn’t a cuck

http://www.businessinsider.com/president-obamas-lack-of-resolve-frustrated-steve-jobs-2011-10

Jobs said he was infuriated by Obama’s saying things couldn’t be done. And that he was too PC (politically correct. Not personal computer)

...Sound familar?

Maybe like “manufacturing jobs aren’t coming back folks”

Well under Fascist Oppressor Cheetoh, magically and randomly, theyreee herrrreeeee.

That’s a good way for Steve to drive his company into the ground post Mortum too: hire the rabid virtue signaler whose role up until that point had been the bean counter.

I hate to point out the obvious, but Steve Jobs appointed Tim Cook. The manufacturing jobs are also not really here.

It makes for nice conservative talking points, but none of it is true.

So Steve Jobs was just coming up with conservative talking points when criticizing Obama? Things that are still relevant, this death by excessive PC policing culture we currently have where emotions take precedence over fact.

And your statement about republicans doing the same simply isn’t true ;) trump showed up to WI. Hillary didn’t. These are facts but yet you treat objective events which occurred and others which did not as “subjective”

So you win. Go ahead and Pat yourself on the back.

And if you read my statement , which you quoted, you’d see I speculate Steve WANTED to drive Apple in the ground by hiring the bean counter; with no vision but full of virtue signaling, to be the CEO replacement. I don’t think he cared at all to see his leaky ship sink after his passing. If anything, it Further proved he was that essential to Apple.

Something even cuck Timmy says repeatedly, that Steve remains a key part of the “DNA” of Apple.

Social media is extremely new. Yes people who are technically literate or have an inkling of how surveillance works knows this, but we live in a world where the vast majority of people have no idea how a computer, let alone the internet, work. To put the onus on the average citizen to not fall for a data collection platform fronting as a place to see your grandkids pictures is entirely unfair.
That’s good point. I agree.

Don't be silly; do you really think someone like Jobs didn't think something similar? He actually told his customers they were using his product wrong, now imagine what he didn't say.

Jobs told his customers they were doing it wrong, and expected them to adjust to doing things his way. Quite often, he succeeded in convincing people to change their habits.

Zuckerberg ridiculed FB users for unthinkingly giving him their data, then kept taking the data to benefit his company.

So while they both expressed sentiments that amount to the general public can be dumb, that's the extent of the similarity between them. How they reacted when faced with a dumb public is totally different.

The reference was to products. I am not aware of free items.

The fight between these two is FAR from over. Let's face it, they both have valid points.
Tim’s point is more valid, let’s not pretend otherwise.
[doublepost=1522729946][/doublepost]I’ve been a critic of Tim lately for various reasons, but I still respect and admire what he’s accomplished and hopefully he will correct a few missteps like excessive pricing, allowing models to languish without updates for excessively long periods of time (2 years+) and lack of transparency in certain circumstances. It’s a completely different story with Mark. He should be tossed out along with a few others at FB.

Nah...people who continually refer to other people as “cuck” spend way too much time reading MGTOW crap for me to take their opinions on world affairs seriously in the first place.

Just do not buy a Smartphone with Facebook installed on it. Chinese version may be good for American people.

I'm no fan of Tim Cook at all, but Zuckerburg is is on a completely different level, he is a world class greedy slimely con artist, and I don't believe a word he says, and these qualities have made him extremely rich.

I suspect that there are HUGE number of hypocrites in this thread. You know those same people that refuse to shop in a store that doesn't support ApplePay and its security measures, and then take example of a great deal there.
Yes and those that hate Google yet use, Maps and/or Docs and refuse to acknowledge that Apple use them for analytics and probably loads of other stuff.
Same people over the years that have/still have Facebook accounts and that use it indirectly to get in touch with Friends and loved ones...
Man give. Me. A. Break.

I would rather pay a lot, than be sold and get free services(which does not improve my life anyway).

One of the problems of the internet was the transition from ad-based free services to data mining and tracking. People used to having free Aol messenger, hotmail, wikipedia, yahoo search and it was all free or ad supported. So they thought Google and Facebook must be the same, little do they know what kind of behind the scenes tracking is happening.

Now, sure. People didn't know Facebook did this years ago so it's kind of late to say that now that billions of people use it.

Actually, you're wrong. Before the internet there were plenty of online things that were based on non-free software, and it's arguable that the stuff today is any better than the stuff back then. Compuserve forums were still far superior to most of the the forum software in use today, and it's been dead for 2 decades or more. Imagine how good it'd be if it continued on.

The internet could have turned out a number of different ways. Just because open source is here today doesn't mean it couldn't have been done another way.

I had to google MGTOW cause I had no idea what you’re talking about lol. It’s a reddit sub, Some obscure thing I doubt anyone else knows what you’re talking about so... um, ok cool? What does that have to do with anything?

...TOXIC masculinity right?

Great response dude.. Full of things to dissect.

Liberals can never concede, but I will take that as you conceding. Since you have nothing of substance to say anymore except to critique my charactsr as your form of a stalemate.

Good day, rabbit.

And Tim Cook is a “cuck” (not sure why this is worthy of being in quotes, to question the validity of the word, but I’ll do it to appease you). And Sorry that’s triggering, me criticiquing a CEO (lol get a grip!) But the fact remains that that’s what he is, is a “cuck”. If you prefer, and if I must censor myself here are some synonyms to describe this lousy CEO since cuck is just so intolerable: he’s a shill, a bozo the clown, an absolute fool.

He’s everything Jobs criticized about Obama: excessively politically correct, saying how things can’t be done when they can (Foxconn argument come to mind where Tim says Americans just don’t have the skills for manufacturing? It’s not a matter of outsourcing cheap labor, it’s skills), with a defeatist globalist mentality, and he virtue signals and treads carefully to not offend, at least the extreme left base. Cook doesn’t mind at all offending his employees And other Americans who aren’t rabid leftists, with his predictable Silicon Valley bias, consumed by anti trump hysteria. Or offending patriots by pandering to China at every forum they hold possible. He’ll house iCloud info on Chinese gov servers, and he’ll host iCloud data elsewhere on big bad wolf’s Google servers! All while being a privacy advocate, which I would say he’s more of a privacy snob since it seems to be more rhetoric than action. He’ll even be a co-chair for the Chinese. Is that something in your wildest dreams you could see Steve Jobs doing? Co-chairing for a Chinese economic forum? I laugh just trying to picture that.

PATHETIC! Despite of all his flaws, I think quantifiably even less of Zuckerberg. So yeah, I am kinda refreshed to see Zuck and Cuck getting into an artificial pissing match. Couldn’t be less invested who looks more like a clown, and who doesn’t, or if both do (please!)

Frankly I hope Zuck digs up some real dirt on Cook, or demons in his closet, because Cook has been arrogantly riding on the coattails of what Steve built, since he came into power. He probably wont though, because he has his own flames to diffuse, for the foreseeable future.

Zuckerberg is just a young man who got really lucky, and Cook had to make his way through corporate quagmire and politics to take over Apple. So who should I listen to?

Let’s see...

I despise the internet ad model, but want stuff free.
I’m willing to pay premium prices for my Apple products.

Ok I don’t take either seriously and think all should do the same, especially Zuckerberg.

I'm long past tired of our Dear Leader being a cuck. We need someone who isn't subordinate to Putin and who thinks before acting.

Oh and those manufacturing jobs? Apple has been working on bringing manufacturing back for years, in no small part driven by Cook's "rabid virtue signaling" idealism. Ever hear of the Mac Pro? The southwestern sapphire debacle?
