has anyone had trouble with the moko case slipping?

when its in stand mode it comes out of stand mode so easilyyyy. its getting to be a real pain to try to type and take notes.

hate to say but the $4.99 case from ebay actually stands up much better and more secure...

I received my Maunga 2 a few days ago, and it is definitely quality.

I think we are talking about the same thing...it works so much better upright in landscape mode than in typing mode. The top crease in typing mode needs to be a little firmer. It has a bit more bounce than I'd like when typing. And it does have a tendency to slip out. I don't have to a lot of typing fortunately.

That being said especially considering the anniversary discount this is a great case and I'm overall happy with it.

Nice to hear. :) What are your thoughts (or anyone else's) on the feel of the case? How does it feel folded back behind itself and held in portrait mode? This is how I view my iPad mostly unless at a table where I have it in the typing position. Thanks

The leather feels very soft, and I'm sure it will wear well with time. Smells the part, too.

When you fold the top cover back and strap it secure, you can hold it in portrait mode with your hand under the strap. Standing on a table in landscape mode it doesn't wobble or feel like it'll tip over.

Overall I highly recommend this case. From all the videos I've seen, it will protect the iPad from drops.

--It slips out of the case and you have to keep putting it in the back alignment.
--It collects so much dog hair (INSIDE). If you have a dog I wouldn't recommend it.
-- When you are holding it in your hand walking you can just keep hear it clicking and clicking with the IPAD turning on and off.

-- For $21 bucks for a solution it works but I will be looking for something a little better.

-- Yes I have the new version they just sent out.

It looks great. I am waiting for mine..should be shipping mid april.Their customer service is really top notch. I had some issues with my order that were resolved immediately and with true customer care. I think that along with good "value for money" products will keep this company around for some time.

I am absolutely having the problem with the Moko slipping out of the typing position. I attribute it to the construction issue I'd mentioned in another thread. Since then I have been sent two more cases. The first was perfectly constructed but had the sleep/wake issue. The second case, received today, has the same construction issue as the first. Because of this the case is lopsided and lifts on one side in viewing mode and slips out of its back flap in typing mode.

I am glad that most people have had luck in remedying their issues with the first batch of Moko cases. My communications with Beau have always been courteous and efficient, so there is no issue there. I just wish these cases could be checked before shipping. I feel it would save a lot of back and forth and postage fees for Maroo.

It's been bugging me a while about this typing position and thought it was just me, I too am a victim of it my Maroo simply falls on its backside and doesn't hold up. Very frustrating.

I just received my replacement case and the magnets don't work on this one either. Not very happy.

This doesn't sound very encouraging. :( Has Maroo remedied this with the newest batches or am I in for a disappointment?

If anyone is having issues with cases, please take advantage of our 1-year warranty and shoot an email to info@maroo.com

As a heads up, we usually like to see photos and a video so that we can see what the issue is and remedy it in the future.
:)

Got the replacement and the sleep/wake function works! Very nice quality product!

New Roto II:
- cleaner front with new logo
- larger camera hole at back
- SG bumper has a slight looser fit, there is a bit of wiggle room

Original Roto II:
- firmer/better typing position than replacement (in my case)
- maroo branding more recognizable on front
- SG bumper has a tighter fit

Both hand strap could be tighter. Overall I like it! Thanks Maroo for a wonderful product and service.

I found the same thing with the Moto replacement, the original binding seemed a little firmer/better. But overall it's a good case.

I am still on my first Moko version with the sleep issue. I hope my exchange will arrive soon. It may be stuck at the customs or lost, hopefully the latter does not apply :(

However so far I am impressed in terms of quality. The leather is supreme and nowhere comparable to my old yoobao. The smell of fine leather is present and I see no negative side aspects yet apart from the known smart magnet.

I am still hesitating to put on a screen film. Has anyone experience with the corner bumpers and screen films? Does it get lifted ?

I have the Maroo Koe II, it does get lifted slightly, only in the top two corners I've noticed. Though I am using one of those cheapie screen protectors from eBay, not sure if that makes a difference.

Uh. Really. No. I think it doesnt matter if its cheapo or not. The films usually dont differ much in their handling and adhesives. Its mostly the clarity or rainbow effects which are not present on higher priced films.

Sounds no good so far. :(

Protecting front skin

I haven't tried this myself but maybe try putting a credit card on top of the skin on each corner first then put on the bumpers. After it gets on (maybe tight), slide out the credit card?

If anyone tried, let us know :)

I'm using a cheap Monoprice screen protector and I'm not experiencing any lifting. The key is to try and lift the corners of the case over the corner of the iPad, don't try to pop it in as it can pick up the screen protector.

Tried this last night, didn't work for me. Although I did take my iPad out and slid it in again, no lift to begin with.. About half an hour later, it showed up again.

just received my Moko today for my Ipad 3 and sorry to say the sleep/wake function does not work. :( I emailed Maroo waiting on a response. From what i hear their customer service is top notch.:D
