@Andeddu Agreed, all of those things I really don't notice in all honestly. Im defo an average user albeit I use the phone alot all day, but mainly calls / texts and a little browsing / Insta etc. I honestly cant see a marked difference in the camera, they are all so good these days.

The Always on Display is great, but I don't need it. if anything it makes me keep looking at my phone! lol
The 15 Plus has no telephoto camera, which is a really nice thing to have. The 17 Pro is my first ‘Pro’ iPhone, and I’ve been using it a lot despite thinking I never needed it.

The difference with the rest of the cameras is that they’re significantly better at night photography.

Then you’ve got all the ProRes features on the 17 Pro, which I don’t use as someone who does no video or photo editing.

I don’t use AoD either, I prefer to have my screen off when the phone is on standby.

How can he recommend the 17 instead of the 17 pro
It makes sense, most “normal users” who don’t need/want the Pro features should rather get a base 17, it is pretty well specced; has the 120hz ProMotion display, good battery and a great camera.
