What does it mean when a MacRumors member has "Core" or "Demi-God" next to their name? I'm assuming it's the frequency of posting...?

Apple_Robert's link explains the general structure and a lot of possible ranks through that.
Demi-God(dess) and contributor are titles you can get through subscription (Arn has God title since he's the owner of MR), then there are other staff specific titles and moderator ranks.

Core is just following the regular CPU naming thing like Robert linked to. A reference to the "Intel Core" naming

Depending on the number of posts you have made, the name of the "rank" (or designation) beside your user name, or nom de plume, changes.

Many, if not most, of the names for these MR "ranks" are named after specific CPU processors.

If you buy enough devices eventually they give you a title! ;)
Imagine if that was how it really worked! I dread to think what I’ve spent with Apple over the years. But compared to some, I’m pretty late to the game.
