Yeah first thing I did was check if shuffle was on. I removed the app and reinstalled and now it's fine.

Strange. But I'm glad it's working fine now.
One thing I should mention is Don't play with Shuffle button in Stock Music App, it may mess things, not all the time, very few cases. Keeping it off is best.
Haven't used the stock app since forever so I wouldn't have that on.
Well, it's a little complicated, but I haven't ruled out.
Complicated = Last.fm limits the number of Calls which can be made in a specific amount of time.
So users can manually Scrobble, but Auto-Scrobble may not work all the time due to that limitation.
So, I didn't implement the partially working feature, coz I didn't want users getting angry.

I'm having some issues with the app. It crashes and restarts itself if I switch apps and come back in a minute
That's strange, I read you're having same issue with another App as well, maybe it's an 8.4.1 issue.
Try Restarting iPhone/Quit Stock Music App.
Interesting... It only happens when stock music app and Marvis run at the same haha! Quitting stock music app helped. I never had that problem before ios 8.4.1 update
I haven't updated to 8.4.1 myself, but I can totally believe that it may have bugs like 8.4 as well(probably different).
Remember - Not to Quit Stock Music App if Music is Already Playing. It'd stop the Playback even if it's started from Marvis.
One thing I would like to ask - what do you mean by Marvis Restarts itself? It crashes and automatically Reopens, without you pressing the icon?
When I go back the app after bit, It runs just like when you open the app for the first time. You see the start screen. The music keeps playing but I guess through the stock app. It didn't happen again after I completely closed the stock app and kept listening music on Marvis

I've been trying to find a new music player as The Groove Music app is now abandoned I miss how it filled in missing artwork and created playlists like Genius but way way way better. Any chance either of those things are in the road map?

Automatically finding Missing Artworks - iOS could do that if iCloud Music Library is turned on. But I'll probably add that feature as well, allowing users to edit Artworks Manually.
No plans currently about Genius, but I would keep that in list for future plans. Thanks.

I'd have to test on 8.4.1 - why it quits so early? You know that iOS would eventually Quit Marvis in BG if it needs Resources for other Tasks. But this sounds strange and too early.
I have no idea why...It must be a 8.4.1 problem. The fix for now is to never run stock app and Marvis at the same time. As long as Marvis runs on its own in the background, it doesn't restart itself

Yeah, I have zero plans to turn iCloud Music back on after it destroyed my library the first time. Haha.
LOL, I know it's messy. Many experiencing such issues. I hope Apple fixes it soon, or else most people won't subscribe to Music.

I tried that app before. It's not really working. By the way Marvis and the other app are still having issues but not as often. They crash like once in every 15-20 minutes instead. It happens even when the stock music app is closed.
Well, it's not called Crashing. iOS quits the Apps that are no longer in use when it requires other Resources(mainly RAM). Not just Music Apps, it applies to all the Apps.
On my iPad Air 2 it stays in the Background much longer, for many days(I just opened it after 2-3 days on iPad now, it was still running).
So when iPhone 6s Launches, it'd probably have 2GB RAM, it's much needed.
I'm using smartplayer for iOS now. It doesn't have that background problem. It's weird lol
