Matte Black = Boring?

Loving my new red iPhone 7. Was very torn between red and matte black. I don't find it boring at all.

Agree with the above comment. Red iPhone is the most gorgeous, eye catching and attention getter product. Love the outstanding red every day as I get compliments about how beautiful my red phone is. My red phone has excellent clear back waterproof case.

Agree with you Space Grey color looks lifeless to Me. I have all variety of Colors in my lineup [Silver - Space Grey - Gold - Rose Gold - and "Matt black" which is most appealing than any other available Colors in my opinion, Not a boring color as OP states.

Red is the most appealing color above all existing colors on iPhone. Mine always gets attention as it is eye catching and attention getter.

To each their own of course, but I was disappointed when Apple didn't release a black color the new iPads. Apple needs to replace space grey, rose gold, gold and silver with new options--they are starting to look dated even on new hardware.

I get compliments every day as well, which I never did with my other phones. I have the clear Speck case to show it off.

Matte Black is the ish' plain and simple!!!

I'm fairly certain, it's the best selling color. The red does look good though, I got wonder if we'll ever get blue!?

Boring, especially regarding a color is in the eye of the beholder. I'm seriously fine with mine. I'd never chose white. Now that would be my idea of boring, but if you like it who the heck cares. Better than all matte black, no other choice eh?

I actually use my phone, not just showing it off to people, so although I do wish Apple put more colors, I never find any to be "boring." Plus with various skins and cases available, it shouldn't even be an issue.

Wouldn't say it's boring but I find it odd they made 2 black colours rather than say, keeping space grey and adding jet black.

Not a chance for me. Matte black is my preference and has been for years.

I got one of those unlocked for overseas trips (for use with local SIMs). It's one of the few iPhones I find comfy to hold even without a case (the others being the curved OG iPhone, 3G and 3GS). The A6 held up really well even with iOS 9. Haven't tested performance on iOS 10 yet. It's still with my aunt since she borrowed it for her international travel.

All my iPhone colors caught my eye for ... ehh about 5 minutes. Then they were in a case.
No time for any emotion about color. The cases were all black. Guess I'm That kinda guy .. Boring
