Multiple displays is completely ****ing broken in DP 5. How they let this out the door I have no idea. Turn off the secondary display, turn it back on, and it defaults to mirroring, have to manually change it every time. Jeez.

Edit: I had unchecked the mirroring box, and it was still doing this. When into the settings again, verified it was set that way. Seems to be sticking now.

Edit: Nope, it's totally borked. It's like a winblows box, it gets confused as to the the resolution on the main monitor. They really screwed this up.

I don't turn off my displays, ever, so I'm only having the problem when I reboot. Each reboot defaults to mirrored displays, with my secondary as primary, with 5 desktops on the primary display and one desktop plus the dashboard on the secondary display.

When is it graphics performance and OpenGL !

Huh, what are you asking?

Mavericks already support OpenGL 4 ever since DP1. Graphic performance improvements are already included in each update.

What are you expecting exactly?

I noticed they seem to have fixed an annoying issue that I had.

From times to times, for no apparent reason, the Finder would start to use the GeForce instead of the Intel graphic card, even if no specific process needed the discrete graphics card. I noticed the issue with gfxCardStatus. I had to kill the Finder process manually, and relauch it, for the rMBP to switch back to its Intel graphic card.

No need to say it was killing my battery life quite rapidly.

Mine doesn't switch to mirroring when I switch one of my monitors off and still works as it did in previous versions. Everything is the same as it was when I switch the off monitor back on.

iTunes tells you what's playing, and what's recently been played, in Notification Center.

Nice, I guess?

In my case, Safari no longer shows iCloud tabs

Safari iCloud tabs is still working for me. It currently shows an open Safari tab from my iPad 3 and one from my iPod Touch 5th gen. (Both are running iOS 7 B5, if that matters.)

It doesn't do it when you reboot either? Maybe I'll turn off a few startup apps and see if there's a new conflict.

Thanks.

I'm having an odd issue with touchpad scrolling in the new Beta 5 update.

Sometimes two-finger scrolling will stop working when I switch between programs.

It usually happens when I switch between intensive programs. For example, use of firefox and safari while scrolling quickly content heavy pages. One browser will still be able to scroll while the other won't.

It also happens when I scroll too fast at times.

The symptoms vary but the only common denominator is that scrolling stops functioning normally.

I have to reboot the computer for scrolling to work again.

Any ideas? The beta has run fine so far and this has been driving me crazy!

Edit:
Ok, apparently scrolling has issues with changing focus from one program to another.

For example, I'll switch to Safari from Firefox and it will still be scrolling in firefox while I am trying to scroll in Safari. If I exit firefox and relaunch it I can no longer scroll.

Can I reset the focus?

I'm having this problem too, logging out+in restores the scrolling

Is it possible to make a USB installer of Mavericks DP 5, and not just the original DP 1? Going through the App Store it seems I can only re-download the original DP.

You can claim another download ticket from the dev center to download a full install of DP5.

Ah well then I'm hosed...my dev account has been locked up during the downtime and still is not back to functional after all this. Support has been almost no help.

Having trouble installing DP5 here, when App Store asks me to restart, I get the blank grey screen with spinning circle and it stays here. This seems the same problem as I have on DP4 when booting with the display attached (Mac Mini), on DP4 I have to boot up with the display disconnected...

Working fine for me, showing both my iPhone's (iOS6) and other iMac's partition (10.8) safari tabs. I can't think of anything you can try except for maybe quitting Safari then disabling iCloud Safari sync in Sys Pref > iCloud, restart Safari then re-enable Safari in iCloud Preferences in Sys Pref.

Yep, same here. At first I thought it was a Chrome issue but it seems to be system wide.

According to the DP 5 Release Notes:

Applications may stop responding to scroll events, particularly while using the accessibility zoom feature. If you experience this problem, restarting OS X should resolve the issue.
