Max Tech on YouTube is annoying click bait

I also think AI will be the downfall of this type of content though. I’m already experimenting with sending youtube links to AI to summarize so I can save time from watching it.

You know, I also question the actual personal value YouTubers in general (not even just Max Tech) are giving now. It almost seems like the big guys just want more sponsorships, and more views/subscribers on the channel. Which I understand, because YouTube is a business, and you want your business to grow. But at the same time, there's just something I don't like about it. I think it's the fact that YouTube is a social media platform, and so basically by growing their business, they're just getting more attention, which doesn't sit well with me.

At this point, I'm inclined to say that all of this is for content's sake (and therefore for the purpose of the business), not personal fulfillment. These big YouTubers are a little spoiled, gotta be honest—they're just being handed stuff as far as I'm aware. I mean, we all know, if you're just handed stuff, it has little to no personal value. If you work hard to get something, of course it'll have more personal value. Then, your review can in turn be a little more honest because that product is dear to you.

Is 1 million views on a video personally fulfilling to you? It wouldn't be to me. Maybe 1 million subscribers would be a little more, but still...

Berate me and call me stupid if I'm wrong about this, but this is just my position.

No exactly that’s how I feel too. Like for instance there was a recent YouTuber that started a channel on productivity with the iPad and I thought her content was good, but then she sneakily added sponsored content without really saying it was sponsored content so you don’t know if the person is genuinely trying to promote good products or good apps, or is she just selling something. And that’s where I have the real problem with it. you should be upfront and clear - This is a sponsored video. Also I pay for YouTube premium to not have ads and I find it very annoying that the sponsors are just more ads. YouTube has given some options to skip them, but I just want them gone completely. I know there are extensions for this, but not in the app which is the preferred way that I like to watch it.

Now that the dust has cleared, it seems Max Tech is batting about .850 on his various predictions. Pretty exceptional considering how tight-lipped Apple has been historically with products. It's been a fun six-months to follow along.

I mean, you’re not wrong—sponsorship messages are indeed ad reads.

I actually question how effective they are though. Do companies really get that much more profit by having influencers market their products? I mean, I’m not the one to say, cause I don’t study business. But that’s an interesting thing, nonetheless.

Seem to be effective is some sectors. From observing my daughter and her friends, influencers marketing cosmetics products to young women is effective.

Who's that, anyway? Who's the blogger? It's simple. If you don't like the blogger, you click on the “disliked” button and unsubscribe from the channel. You can also slam the door and write an angry comment like “I'm tired, I'm leaving”. I'm sure he'll go on a week-long bender after that. ))))

LOL I just saw the third brother randomly in a video. This is so weird, they all kinda look and speak the same way but obviously are different. It’s really a bit like watching an AI version of the original guy sometimes.

When you watch these clickbait video's don't forget to install sponsor block, which auto skips the sponsored messages from these video's. Saves you 20% of watch time. Even with YouTube premium you get these annoying messages. You can get it for safari or chromium browsers. Besides your usual adblockers.

I'm amazed you tube allow the in video sponsors as it cancels out the whole point of you tube premium in my mind.

video sponsors are not the same as advertisements, though they serve the same purpose, i.e., marketing.

There's no way they'd prevent sponsorships. What youtube premium offers is a way to pay google directly, without it, you have watch their advertisements - either way google is getting $$. With sponsored videos, the business deal is between the YTer and a business, google sees none of it
